Rushmere I respect your opinion eventhough I thoroughly disagree with you! <ok> There is just no way that Evans is going to give Jewell anymore money to sign players, certainly not the quality ones that we desperately need! I agree with Alex Mathie's assessment that he made on Radio Suffolk yesterday! He said along the lines that ME is now waiting on which way things will go up to Christmas! I don't believe that Jewell is right man for the job and the sooner he goes the better!

Sorry JWM, missed your response matey. We are actually in agreement to a degree. I was just saying that I don't think Harry or the Lambertmeister will ever come here. Equally, I think ME will give PJ until Christmas and assess it from there. Agree that I don't see ME forking out (deep pockets - short arms as I've said) but still on the fence about PJ.

Can't see either Redknapp or Lambert here, certainly wouldn't want Redknapp to be honest, he could bankrupt us unless kept on a leash which he wouldn't like. Can see Jewell being given until December and if we're in the top 12, playing more good football like the first three games I can see him being backed with more cash. Have to say I don't like this strategy because it limits what we can buy in this window and if we have a new manager it gives him little time to assess and improve the team. The worst thing for me is that Clegg and Evans have always maintained that promotion is the aim, but Jewell is at an automatic disadvantage because of the financial constraints. For me this is the center frustration for fans, which has been building for years.

It's like he is being set up to fail by not being backed. Having said that a lot of the players PJ brought in have already gone by having contracts terminated so I would be a bit cautious with my cash too.

Since Evans arrived we have spent 13,736,800 on players transfers coming in and have received 13,974,400 from players going out so for all of those saying ME has spent 30 million on players this is simply not true. .

Now I would love to see where that 'buying' figure comes from.
Chopra £1m
Delaney £750k
Edwards £1.5m
JET £1.5m
Martin £1.5m
Scotland £750k

Thats £7m on the key transfers in the current squad. You can add on nearly another £1m for the combined transfer fees of Loach, Stevenson, Hewitt, Cresswell & Drury.

So if we call it £8m, for round figures sake, your quoted figure would mean that Keane & Jim, with players that have left have only spent a combined 5.75m, considering we know Norris was £2m, That leaves £3.75m for McAuley, Leadbitter, Priskin, Fulop, Shumi, Quinn and numerous other players. I dont think we have got anywhere near £30m but it must be around £20m. If we have got every transfer in within the ME era for under £14m I think we should give Clegg a bit more credit. It would be an amazing piece of work to have completed those deals for such little cash. It would open up a whole lot more as well!

ME will hold the funds back until christmas and the end of PJ's contract, see where we are and if someone new has to come in then he will have funds.

Regarding Saturday, i don't think we will come across many better teams than Blackpool and many better players than Tom Ince, if he isn't snapped up this week then there is no justice. the thing about saturdays result is that we could have quite easily gone in 1-1 instead of 2-0 down, we had to go for it in the second half and players like Ince will tear you apart if the slightest gap appears, which is what happened. So in all at least we got stuffed by a side who will finish in the top 2 of our division, not a mid-table side!

I think we'll have a quiet week from you on our board, won't we! <laugh>

Hows the improvements at C-Rud carra, what was it last season from the 2 games you had played? 4 points i think, what is it this year 1 point? good to see you moving in the right direction!

What is it with people connected with 1p5wich? Their manager thinks games last 44 minutes and their fans think the season lasts 2 games!

what compared to your guys who thought the game at fulham lasted 4 mins? you didn't answer the question, I'm sure you guys would have been banking on having 4 points towards your survival plan!

I really don't think its early enough to be worrying about "survival plans", unless of course you're expecting Liverpool to be our relegation rivals this season!

C-Rud, are you a Tory MP, You still haven't answered the question, how many points from the 2 games you played last year did you get compared to this year? or is hanging on to a draw against QPr deemed an improvement?

I know you boys love a bit of history, but what has last seasons results got to do with this seasons?
