Guru, why do you insist on post after post in asking questions you already know the answer to, just so you can say, "I told you so!" Is that your only source of entertainment, because ITFC don't give much entertainment to their own fans! We are perfectly happy with our playing staff, our management team, and all members of our board! Are you happy with yours?
what i love most about this is that guru isn't even right! we had two points from our first four games last year. so far we have 1 point from 2 games, so you could say we are currently on the same track we lost to fulham last year and ok, we got stuffed this time but its two games into the season. nobody is any the wiser as to where teams will finish up. you cannot guarantee that blackpool will be top two based on them winning their first three games. i predicted brighton to win the championship this year. they lost their opening game but i wasn't suddenly changing that prediction. likewise i still think west brom will go down, even though they thumped liverpool opening day.
West Brom will go down.... Is this the latest wisdom on Twitter! They got a good point against Spurs away on Saturday and it will be interesting to see how you budgies get on at Spurs in a couple of weeks! West Brom look a sure bet for survival this year and may even better their position from last year! You budgies are a far better bet to go down!
west brom have played TWO games. yes they got two good results but they still look one of the weakest sides in the division and have an untried manager in charge. how can a team be a 'sure bet' to survive based on two games????? likewise, how can one be sure to go down? according to guru, blackpool are now 'guaranteed' to feature in the top two based on their 6-0 win. man utd are mid-table as it stands - i bet they are bricking it, what with missing out on europe next season, and birmingham (a team i know warky tipped to get promoted before a ball was kicked) have failed massively and are heading for league one. UNBELIEVABLE! you guys can't seriously believe what you are typing...
Believe me Supers there are at least 3 worse teams in the Premier League that will go down ahead of West Brom. Steve Clarke is hardly unproven! Southampton are massively overhyped, Reading aren't strong enough and the final place imo will be between Villa, West Ham, Norwich.
so let me get this straight. when we appointed hughton we were told by ipswich fans that he was an 'unproven' manager because he's only managed two clubs, but steve clarke IS proven because he hasn't managed anyone? bizarre... look, you might be right about west brom staying up but then i might be right about them going down! none of us know at this stage and that is my point! you cannot tell after two games. i still think saints will do very well because they can score goals and throughout a long, hard season, that can be a major weapon. reading have probably started best of the new clubs and i feel they can stay up as i did before the season began, but they will be in the mix i'm sure and i've long said west ham will go down because i think the fans will become restless with allardyce and whoever takes over will have the weirdest array of players i've ever seen at any one club. now i don't know big sam will get the boot but i think its a fair guess! its all guess work though isn't it, so why say it as if its fact? i think there are 3 worse teams than norwich, but you seem to think we're in big trouble. we finished 12th last season and have built on the side we had then, so why so sure we'll be amongst the relegation favourites?
well these are the most ridiculous arguments I have seen in a very long time after what was initially a pretty good thread!!
but you're STILL wrong you said we got four points last season against those two teams when we didn't, we got three. frankly, none of this matters cos if you think you can tell after two games where teams will finish you must all be multi-millionaires, the amount of bets you must put on and win. also, if you're going to go down this bizarre route, we were much the better team against qpr this season whereas last season, although we won, the game was much closer. does this make a difference? no.
we also survived by ten points last year so if we now match all out other results from last year we'll be fine. jeez, why am i even typing this nonsense... edit* oops - we actually survived by more than ten points...
I'M GOING TO SHOUT AT YOU, JUST SO YOU CAN HEAR! WHY DOES IT MATTER THAT WE HAVE NOT MATCHED OUR RESULTS AGAINST FULHAM (even though we lost against them) AND QPR FROM LAST SEASON? It has no bearing whatsoever on what will happen this season! Seriously, how do you dress yourself in the morning?!?! Are there no Ipswich fans that understand what we're saying?!?!?
you see, you say that, but you (or at least guru) were the ones going down this rather bizarre route in the first place!
well maybe you better re-read my post as it was in relation to guru's bizarre claim that you can tell how a team will do after two games
