New mod thread

As OLM has taken the decision to step down as a mod and has asked for us to sort out a replacement, can we use this thread for people to make nominations, put themselves forwards, rule themselves out.

If there's a consensus on this thread then we can go with that person, if there's two or three people that are all happy to do it and people would be happy with doing it then we can have a vote on that at the time.

EDIT: I've temporarily unstickied the Rules/Hints and the History threads to make way for this sticky. I'll resticky them at the end of the week (when the transfer threads get unstickied) or when this is sorted, whichever is first.

This 15 year old celtic fans mum came on the website saying to the owner that her sons turned rude because of certain people on this site, Then she asked for the website to be closed down because it's basically made her son in to maniac so the owner is closing it down tonight at 12 he feels so guilty.

I'd agree with either of those but PT said on the other thread that he could never do it. I'd also throw the likes of J-D, City1904 and yourself Manuel in there just because they're good, sensible posters but they might not want to or have the time. For my wildcard pick I think Erik could do a job even if it was a massively controversial one. He's always on here and generally what he says makes sense even if it is said in his own strange way some of the time.

He's not. And since as mods we're in the process of appointing extra supermods and dishing out extra responsibilities to more people so that one person doesn't have to carry the whole workload I don't expect the site to be closing. Feel free to say I told you so on here if I'm wrong though.

EDIT: That thread is also quite clearly a piss take.

That is not what I wanted and it has become such as issue for me personally that I am considering taking this site down altogether and/or committing suicide.
