About 1 year City got relegated. Rumours about administration, bankruptcy, etc. All players left.

1 year later, fighting for promotion with one of the best squads we have had in a long time :biggrin:

Yet, some, notably TWF, bemoan both Pearsons and still crave fame hungry Phil Brown and overpaid foreigners.

I couldn't care less whether our players were foreign or not, you daft racist.

Anyway yes, of course I'd like the return of our greatest manager of all time, and of course I despise the man who sacked him and plunged our club into even more financial trouble.

I've probably been a bit harsh on ol' Nige, he's no Phil Brown and it's daft to compare him to such a great, great man. He tries his best at least, who knows, within time he may become our second best manager ever.

Despise? Plunged our club into even more financial trouble?:emoticon-0104-surpr

Come on son you have just got to at least try to explain this one.

I am really happy with this season. The only problem is the club has given us outrageous hope we might even go up.

Bar stewards! (NP,AP, the Allams and all associated with the club including those bloody players dragging us near the play-offs)

Just how I feel Horsham! Week in, week out - I'm waiting for AP, NP and these players to reveal their true characters. Failures the lot of 'em!!!<laugh>

Elrooj: you'll be glad to hear the Hetchins is getting resprayed soon. Black with amber lug lining!

<cool>

Back on topic. I'm enjoying the ride this season. A feeling I haven't had for 18 months.

considering how the season started, we have done amazingly well, I'd said at the beginning if we could have a top half finish that i'd be happy with that. But to see us with 4 games left challenging for a play off spot is amazing considering the off the field problems. Fingers crossed things will go our way the rest of the season and if not next season watch out the Tigers are about

No explanation whatsoever. Our finances did not change due to relegation as the Parachute payment had already been borrowed against and the players already in the building. we are still by and large holding our attendances.

However we are healthier now than last year. We where on a runaway roller coaster driven by Mr Duffen.

Your attitude stinks.

Parachute payments aren't as much as TV rights. Mr. Pearson himself said we'd have been better off if we avoided relegation, which begs the question why did he employ Dowie? A farcical decision that would have (and quite rightly) cost any other chairman their job. At this point, Bartlett should have realised his PR stunt had gone horribly wrong and got rid.

Indeed, but it was made worse by the stupid decision made by Mr. Pearson. A nameless chairman with no history/ego/jealousy would have been better to lead us out of the mess. It's still a concern that he's here.
