If anyone wants to copy/paste that rant but about another club for future preferences then go ahead, just replace Inter Milan with the club that is trying to buy the player with 112 not606 pages dedicated to him and he isn't even yours yet :bandit:
 
This is shat , pull out , shopping list is very simple
X 1 premiership quality cb
X 2 quality midfielders

We could not sign on let alone sign someone .
 
Simon Peach is interviewing Adkins and Rodriguez at 2pm. Look out for that if you didn't know. (Will probably be questions like "Favourite Ice-lolly brand?")

He said at one point that he thinks it will be difficult for Bologna to say no to our money. So ultimately, if we hold out and no other clubs come in, then it should go through. But, if Cortese decides he's had enough and doesn't want to wait until the deadline, we could look elsewhere.
 
Interesting...basically told us what we already knew but summarized well. Sounds like Gaston didn't jump the gun as he genuinely thought it was completed. So it may go through if no one else steps in or Cortese weakens or hell freezes over.
 
The squad we have will get relegated , it's that simple , the longer the window goes on the more clubs will charge us as they know this , players should of been sought in may .
We need premiership quality players not speculative punts , just look at qpr , west ham , reading , it's obvious if liverpool and inter come in for Ramirez unless we offer absolutely stupid money he would much rather play there .
Spend money , we went down because of lack of investment and balls , let's not do it again after 1 week as opposed to 27 years .

In other reports, it is thought that Cortese has already turned his attention properly away from the Bologna-Ramirez deal, and that it is dead. Maybe that's true. but maybe, Cortese is sounding out other deals while keeping his eye on Bologna to see if they start to wriggle and fidget, as time passes. Mr Cool is obviously one hell of a negotiator, and if the deal isn't right for him, it's not right for Saints.

Who says we don't have bids on 3/4 players who fit the bill? The press is attracted to the Ramirez deal because it's a coup for a club like us. Relax <wizard>

Expected what better ? That's the harsh truth. , accept it !
If our squad was good enough to stay up we would not be looking at buying players of a higher quality , it's not a question of getting behind the team I was very happy and proud the way they played but that does not mean our squad is sufficient does it ?

We should be striving for more , look at the clubs around us and below us in size and stature and also more to the point less money , they are spending and spending it on good premiership quality players .

I expected more realism .
