we obviously dont have the funds to push through the deal. Dont get me wrong, £12 m is a lot of money and I feel we prob tried to get him knowing they were in the thick and brown, on a payment plan that was very appealing to us, obviously not appealing to bologna. I just feel this amount of money alhtough alot, isnt hideous in football terms and if a man utd, liverpool, city etc... were agreed on the fee the deal wouldnt collapse based on payment terms, never seen it happen before. That is why I feel we have tried to nab a cracking player but on cracking terms for us, not bologna.

No harm in it and by sounds of it very nearly came off (it still might do). But being honest, would it surprise you if he joined liverpool or spuds next week for £12 million ?

We do have the money. NC is just a tough negotiator!

Yes we do, now maybe you should just keep quiet for a bit.

Nice tone, well received cheers mate ! your obviously our bank manager than ......as your obviously in the know.

Football fans make me laugh, we dont have billions sat in the bank. "we are self financing", which is the way i like it. otherwise we would just buy ramirez and give them the £12 million now if it was a deal breaker especially if we want him that bad, we are doing it the right way and just a shame its dragging like this. this is Football Manager 2013 where we have a current balance of £50 million to blow.

Mate I said that in the most restrained way possible, truth is you arrogantly stated something you know NOTHING about. We've shown we have the funds it's just an issue of when we pay them.

If you wish for me to take a tone that properly represents how I feel about your postings then I will. :)

Nah we have no money the Liebherrs want to sell us, etc etc

why do people assume we are billionaires. Yes we have wealthy owners, but the plan was to make us self financing, something people seem to have forgotten recently. Have a look up the road......

We are lucky to have the Leibherrs and NC running our club. Cant believe I get shot down for implying we are being careful with the money as bologna obviously want it all now and for some reason we arent paying it all now, so maybe, just maybe its not sat in the bank. I take it people didnt see our balance sheet last year, we didnt have £15 million sat in the bank.

Where did you get that idea from? We knew from the start a rough idea of how much this player was going to cost, why would we have got involved if we couldn't afford him? From what we understand the fee had been agreed so that discredits that as well. Numerous people have pointed out and if you read the agents quotes that it appears he is trying to remind Bologna that this is their only chance to sell this player and if they really need the money they better pay up. They agreed a fee with us, they were clear on their valuation of the player and we met that if reports are to be believed. I would be surprised if he joined them yes - Spurs made a bid but didn't agree terms, I don't see why that's going to change now. Inter don't appear to have the funds and Liverpool never actually made a bid.

You do realise that Liebherr left money in a bank for us?. You also realise no clubs pay big fees all at once, if you do well I won't go there. If we didn't have the money we wouldn't bid would we?.

I have not seen clubs failing to agree terms of payment before. forgive me if im wrong, it has happened before LOL but havent seen this before so perhaps we tried a sneaky one where we pay it over 4 years or so and they bulked at it. Just saying a possible cause as never seen this type of carry on before.... perahsp it happens all the tiume which is why we dont hear about transfers until its done.
