What I don't understand is if he is that good why aren't other clubs in there. The deal with spurs fell through because Spurs weren't prepared to pay him enough and Liverpool have gone elsewhere.

I don't want to repeat myself; If anyone wants to know why I think this deal will still go through (and the answer to the question above), go and read my posts on pages 64 and 65.

I have been watching this thread sometimes with amusement, sometimes disappointment, sometimes with excitement - but always with incredulity as I don't know anything about Gaston Ramirez. Is he really that good as reckon Pulis could make himself look half useful on YouTube?

To be honest I am not sure I like the sound of his reasons to come here. If we don't get him I believe things happen for a reason

Ramirez is very good, so there's no need to be concerned on that front. He was just one of many targets for Spurs and Liverpool. Liverpool have now signed Oussama Assaidi, Spurs apparently are after Miralem Pjanic, and both are after Adam Johnson, so that explains the limited interest from them.

His reasons for wanting to come here are mostly monetary, obviously, but I don't see why that is seen as such a bad thing. Everyone in the world is motivated by money.

No they're not.

As well as lots of money, it's also that we can guarantee him a place in the first team which Inter, Juve, Spurs, Pool etc can't.

I keep telling myself not to come on this thread and just let it play out but every ****ing hour I come back on the page desperate for news that he's signed and all i get is some dodgey DTLW Italian quotes and 5 new pages of it's on-off-on-off. Get it done already! ffs.

For christs sakes :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( Although I do think the Bologna president coming out and saying what he did is an obvious admission that the player is leaving.
