The Dawson - QPR thing has nearly been settled. FFS CORTESE OUT, ADKINS OUT, ANTHONY PULIS OUT, HARRY REDKNAPP IN.
We await developments with bated breath, personally I don't want Ramirez, as I think his influence will be disruptive, you don't have to break the bank to bring in decent players. A little more patience required as I am sure the Club have Plan B and C in hand.
That'll at least give the Skates something to be happy about.
I get the feeling that Saints are being used, Bologna want more money and are hoping Liverpool or Spurs decide to hijack any deal. Obviously I don't know this for certain, it's just a feeling.
I also think this is just one of those that will never get round to happening, if theres not one thing wrong then something else crops up. i persume there is a backup plan though.
Unless Ramirez was the back up plan. NC willing to pay a lot because we keep missing out and the season has started. At the end of the transfer window, there will be people who didn't get a move and will be available on loan to reduce wage bills.
The least 'exciting' transfers to me have been our best:

Jose Fonte.. I thought he cant be that good if he was going to drop from the championship to league 1
Nigel Adkins..I definitely 100% thought Cortese had lost the plot.
What I am getting at is that I am excited by this prospect, so it will probably be another Jonathan Forte....

I was one of the few Saints fans who wanted Lambert before Pardew signed him. Scouting's a piece of piss!
Saints bought a lot of leeway from me with Hooiveld last year.
I'm a little leery of transfers like this with hyped-up players behaving questionably and all the drama between clubs, although tbf if you want to play at the highest level, you can't avoid signings like this. So if Cortese/Adkins/?? feels it's worth the price, I'll trust them.
If they pass, I feel like they've got a Plan B (or C, or D) and perhaps we will see another Hooiveld pulled out of thin air like last year.

Yeah I was thrilled when we signed Lambert. Remember what he did to us in the cup for Bristol Rovers. Scored a free-kick and a header, so knew he was decent.
