"its too early to be worrying about the system"

That comment is absolutely ridiculous, how can anyone who goes to football come up with a comment like that. Just read it out loud to yourself. The season has started and we don't need to worry about the system because its too early. Total codswollop.

I'll tell you one thing, presently the system is all Chris Hughton is thinking about because he knows 3 points don't just appear by magic. He is going through all his knowledge trying to come up with a way to beat QPR.

What exactly is this "system" you speak of?

Its not my system, its Hughtons, he doesn't just send them out and they do what they want.

Oh really?

The point I'm making is he has set-up his team for one competitive game, and basically all the players ****ed it up. Sure he might have started with the wrong formation and mentality, but I don't see him setting the team up in that way every single game. Everyone has to take the blame for that performance on Saturday, but we move on to QPR and look to how we can pick up our first three points of the season.

There really is no need to panic after one single game!

The two aren't really related or have a great deal in common so I don't really get the validity of it.

But, I'm sure there will be plenty of Londoners crying away after watching it on the telly

yes REALLY (I don't like this continual reiteration).

and I don't think "might" is the appropriate word.

Just adding a point carrubb do you think the MU fans will be crying like some of us !!!

No but then I'm not sure the two can be compared. A bad season for MU is not winning the league. A bad one for us is relegation. We have a lot more to lose. Equally MU weren't totally outclassed and made to look like a pub team. And they looked dangerous. I would have minded taking a thumping so much if we'd looked like we could score.

The key question for me is how much Saturday was a case of a group of players all playing badly at the same time and how much it was a case of a system that just didn't work. I suspect it's more of the second and Hughton needs to display some of that tactical acumen which we were assured that he possessed when he came here.
