Of all the negative comments and all these theories of who we should or should not sign Last year our players did us proud and against all the odds kept us in the top flight, the ask is every bit as great this year as it was last and hey wake up if we achieve a third year it will be as tough again next year So let's cut the whining and get behind the team which is mainly the same as we followed last year and Mr Hewtun just follow Lambos game plans and we will be minted Attack is best form of defense and unyielding belief is the way ti follow the team
I think everyones a bit pissed off with Saturday's performance, I'm sure it'll pass soon and on Saturday we'll face a new challenge with a different outlook hopefully.
Fans seem to have short memories. Remember our abject performance at the Stadium of Light and we bounced back from that, so we just need the same response from the players on Saturday and the opening match will be but 'a distant memory'. I would urge everyone who will be at Carrow Road on Saturday to cheer our boys on from kick off to the final whistle!!
A good result on Saturday and the negativity will soon disappear. By the way fans and people in general are entitled to feel how they want and those who try to tell people otherwise, especially after such a poor performance on Saturday, I find to be rather patronising.
I really hope we give Chris Hootun a huge ovation when he comes out on Saturday. I was hoping we'd have a rendition of "There's only one Chrissy Hootun" when he strolled across the Craven Cottage pitch for the first time as our manager, we certainly raised to our feet and gave him a big round of applause but the chant-starters got us going with the standard "Yellows! Yellows!" instead, which was still pretty awesome I have to say. I really want us to make him feel welcome at Carra Rud, so I'd love it if the Barclay was singing his name - I'd love it even more if we're singing his name after 90 minutes and a convincing win
I'm sure everyone will cheer for him. I don't know for how long though, I've a horrible feeling he'll be gone by mid-October.
I just think all the negative outbursts have come because it was the first game of the season, so we had no other good result/performance to look back on with fondness. If we beat QPR Saturday, most people will have forgotten about what happened at Craven Cottage.
Thats not really true, a woeful performance and a win will not really eradicate it. I'm concerned that this thing could get out of hand, we lose against QPR (given their result) and there is going to be alot of ill feeling. Personally, I'd take a really good performance over anything, because we haven't had that against decent opposition under Hughton. I don't think either will happen, I think things will go down before they go up.
I did say that most people will forget about it, and quite clearly you are one of the people that will still think, write and talk about the Fulham game, even though we picked up three points. If indeed we do pick up three points Saturday, we have to move on and look forward, and praise all the good things that happened. Personally, I don't care if we don't play that well, we just need to get the points.
What frustrates me more than anything is how he can take the same personnel (largely) and formations from pre-season 'experimental' matches, into a tricky away fixture where the home team have as good a record as anyone in the division. If it was poor against Ajax and Bor. Moncheng'bach, why would it suddenly work like a charm against Fulham. I really hope he has a plan 'B' lined up, ready for the next time we implode - always assuming there is another time.

I do care how well we play because regardless of whether we get 3 points against QPR if the performances don't get better then the points tally isn't going to grow. Performance is everything, because it tells us that there is something in place which will work. If we win 1-0 but play as badly against an even worse team then we don't know the system works. There are far to many bad boxes getting ticked, we need a good performance more than anything.
The next game is very important. If we lose, there will be even more doubters crawling out of the woodwork, who will be putting pressure on the players in the following games. The atmosphere around the club and players will be poor and the morale even poorer, so yes, for me, the next game is all about the result and not how well we play. I'm certain the good performances will come very soon.
Its too early to be worrying about "the system" not working. Saturday was riddled with poor individual performances, so what's needed is a confidence boost, and three points is the best medicine going.
Pre season is pre season forget it One poor show blimey we had quite a few last year and still did well I have a feeling some don't like Hewtun , why ???? Forget Lambo he dumped us and moved on
Agree with that. The other guy wasn't likely to hang around long, we all knew that. Hughton has a hard act to follow, but I wasn't displeased we appointed him. I'm not ready to give up on him yet.

I'll tell you one thing, presently the system is all Chris Hughton is thinking about because he knows 3 points don't just appear by magic. He is going through all his knowledge trying to come up with a way to beat QPR.
I'm sure nobody is. They can't possibly be, after just 90 minutes of football. And as was pointed out recently, think back to last season at the stadium of light - we all agreed we'd never seen a more inept, clueless performance. Well, now we have.
