Biglia himself has heavily implied that he's not interested in coming to us. Anderlecht are in the champions league so he would only consider another CL team.
 
Thought he would have been a decent addition, but I'm not particularly fussed. Cove reckons he won't get anywhere near the united team, so on that basis he's not that big a miss.
 
How come Man U can wrap such transfers up in a morning's work, and ours drag on for bloody ages, ageing us tenfold in the process...?

Erm Buttner, courted by Fulham, QPR, Saints - Man United come in. Easy deal to do.

Ramirez, wanted by Inter, Spurs, Liverpool - Saints come in. Player has notable interest but clubs haggling over instalment structure.

United are up to their titties in debt and have much more pulling power than we do!
 
Because even his dad isn't daft enough to block his son's move to ManU. ManU may also have paid his Dad because they knew about it from the beginning whereas it was thrown at us. Also the basic fact is that we have to convince a player to come here...ManU don't have that problem. Even my love of Saints doesn't blind me to that fact.

He was convinced was he not? Not that I'm depressed about this one. Ramirez on the other hand.......
 
Think we'd have got him if the cut to his dad had been upfront...even Vitesse offered to pay part of it to push it through. However, either Cortese was annoyed or didn't like the sound of the situation. On Sky, it said Saints interest ended in July, so my guess is that he was getting desperate...he even took Vitesse to court about it. It's paid off for him now though, hasn't it?
