From La Gazzetta Dello Sport:

"Situazione Ramirez. (Nicola Zanarini)"

Roughly:

Sounds dead to me, Rupert Lowe would have brought him by now. But if it does pay off, can we play him CB as I heard he is fast?

Tancredi Palmeri has tweeted about this deal again:

Ramirez: deal was basically done, but his interview drove mad Bologna mgmt. Today Southampton and Bologna on meeting in England.

What still missing? 3 more millions for Bologna and payment of 50% of the total within 2012. Percentage of success: 90%.

The situation could be dead but how did you arrive at that from that post. If the Bologna Chairman is willing to interrupt his holiday, all parties must be serious. The problem will be either it is too hot for us or another club step in and turn his head.

90% chance? Looking good!

Both problems that easily can be, and probably will be, worked out today.

It does make you wonder why football negotiations take so long. Surely you could thrash this out with a 15 minute phone call?

exactly what i was saying to my mate yesterday, surely if they know what the deal is, it can be easily sorted....... provided we agree with it. The fact they have flown over today I assume its either going to happen very quick or not at all. cant see them flying over here to sort if it isnt literally a done deal !!!! No way they would then go all the way back to Italy to then mull over emails and phone calls !!!
