Manchester City v SOUTHAMPTON: Match Thread

That's the target!

Well hopefully not... I mean if Nigel's team talk was "let's try to keep it to 4-0" I'd be a bit worried, but that's not the point.

Would imagine that Nigel is annoyed because it's no longer assured that a six-goal win today will put us top.

Had that exact thought earlier. Was class at feeding off scraps in la liga last year

I suppose Di Santo and Moses are very good as well. Just looked it up, and Koné only signed about 5 days ago. Probably best that he's on the bench for this one.

I've got a £5 free bet on Skybet and was going to choose Rickie to score at anytime in the 90 mins @ 4/1....not so sure now if he isn't in the starting line up....may have a punt on Jos @ 12/1 if Rickie doesn't make it....any other suggestions?

From a very reliable source. Ward Prowse is starting.

Heh, would be a pretty memorable way one's league debut if true. Nothing too challenging, just go out there and try to boss the midfield against the defending champions, in their building, in the club's first game back in the Prem for many years. At 17.

Well I'd heard Lambert is on the bench and Jay is starting through the middle.

No clue if Punch moves left and Guly right, or Adam left with JWP, MS and SD in the middle.

We shall see.
