When people used to moan that opposition played negatively against us, I would always say that no one has to play to suit you. Teams do the best they can to get points. We were playing a better side and set out to absorb it and then counter attack. I think we tried at all times and had good spells throughout, even producing chances at the end. I hope City aren't getting the ManU disease of thinking that games should just be handed to them on a plate. Saints are definitely not a negative side, but we're not stupid either.
I would never suggest we should play like last season against Man City! I didnt think we were negative at all, we were playing the champions away in the first game, just thought they showed no respect for us with their commentary. Also their commentator, said that Tevez was onside! When even in there replay he looked a few inches off!
Just got in to watch the highlights (which i'd been waiting for days to do!), So proud of the lads. Didn't get any decisions from what i saw and bit of luck and we could have gotten something from that game Either way so many positives im buzzing!
I guess we will continue to be victims of poor Official decisions, I think it was generally thought that Tevez goal was offside and JRod penalty shout was legit. Look at Reading last night, Torres offside goal turned the game, Premier football amateur officials.
