Hi Boss, who says this, the quotes I read from Bale after the game said he was fine.

Unless you have a reliable source for this doubt, I'm 100% confident Bale will start.

Good stuff Boss, but please don't post things like that

It's bad enough having Defoe as our 'lone striker' tomorrow, no Bale and I don't know if I could even watch

Oh okay, I could, from behind the sofa

Some 'ITK' suggests Gallas will start, which is a bit left field, but well possible.

I'd happily see JV start at LB, but can't see that happening, so I guess JV will be benched on this scenario. After all the high hopes so many of us had of him, a bit of a downer if so.

is that confirmed? if so, that's bloody fantastic news for us!

However, we've seen this before with managers saying how players are out or doubtful, but then they end up playing!

I'll believe it when I see it! :)

    Bubble is a troll.

Ben Arfa is the only one confirmed out. Tiote has a bit of a strain, but I don't know whether he's playing or not. Not been a word for a week or so.

Cabaye, Colo, Cisse, Ba all fit.

So basically our whole squad is fit, apart from Ben Arfa, and maybe Tiote.

They're joining the dots as usual. Gallas played the full 90 against Valencia so I guess it wouldn't be a total surprise but he didn't play all that well.

Just read that the Dembas were considered doubts because of Ramadan, is that true?

We should win whatever the team. Ba and Cisse are no better than Defoe, and only four or five of the Newcastle team would be good enough for our squad. we've got loads of players who can score so the no-strikers thing is overdone.

It's been pretty draining for the Muslims that I know this year.
Long days and quite hot a lot of the time.
With the game taking place in the evening, you'd have thought that they'd be far from feeling their best, so they may be left out.
This is assuming that they've observed it normally and not put it off, as I know some athletes have done in the past.

I think us winning really depends on who is in the middle of the park today.

I really hope Hudd and Sandro are played.

    No Jenas please.

I've got that nagging feeling about JJ (then again it might be heartburn) - for some reason AVB thinks he's good enough.
    Sandro & Jake for me.

If, as someone mentioned in another thread, Hudds hasn't traveled with the squad today, Sandro and Carroll for me.

  17. Bale is the man that the Toon fear the most. They were praying he would not start.

Hudd tweeted this morning that he had trained with Jordan Archer and Seb Bassong so he defo hasn't travelled. Last night he tweeted that he is 100% fit so there must be concerns re his future. Shame, I think he makes a difference.

Unless there's a very good deal on the table and we've got a replacement lined up, then that's just stupid, for me.
    Jenas ahead of Huddlestone? <doh>
