Why would Butland go? He'd never get a game

he's not getting a game now, if it's mainly about Man city building for the future, he'd be more likely to get loaned out for some games

Thought he's the Birmingham regular keeper? If not then he should definitely jump ship

Well look, we don't need to sell so I don't see why we don't just sell him for a totally ridiculous price. 8 million is not enough - they make that much per hour in barrels of oil.
If we don't get stupid money I'd rather keep him - we have to make a stand somewhere with regards to our players or everyone will go. I know he can walk away next season on a free but so be it. Draw the line.

I'm pretty sure he's never started for them. Certainly not in the league

I would be sorry to see scott leave tbh. I think we have not seen the best of him yet and under ML we would have seen scott a much improved player......Why would man city want him if he is a championship player at best musty?..£8 million looks to be a steal by city and its another key player that we will lose if he moves......

I'd rather make a stand if liverpool come back for Ash. 8 million for Sinclair would do me, 7 million profit for a player who was quite average last season. I know he was pretty much marked out of games which probably freed up Dyer and made him look better, but I thought Routledge was quite adequate cover last season and I'm sure Laudrup has some ideas for that 8 million

Rumours all over twitter that we have made a 'firm inquiry' for Pablo Hernandez.

I agree SA9 that Ash is more important to us but if we draw the line at Sinclair then it shows our stance before anyone comes for Ash - but then again it probably won't make a difference if either player really want's to go.

Like i have said before that the power needs to get back into the clubs hands and not the players. If a player is happy to sign a 4 year contract for the wages on offer then there should be no clauses of any kind in the contract, Its become a farce and made contracts worthless and until someone at the top gets their head out of their arse and do something about it it will carry on, the only teams it benefits are the massive clubs and that is wrong....In a fair system we as a club should be the only ones that can make the decision to sell a player or not.....the player has signed a contract and the club own his playing rights while he is under contract...

Yeah that's exactly how it should be. However the clubs that buy these players are able to afford any financial issue/penalty involved. Maybe there needs to be financial penalties depending on what percentage of his contract is left. eg. Joe Allen - 15m is the fee. If he has 75% of his contract left - then the buying club has to pay the fee plus 75% on top - which would be an extra 11.25m - bringing the total to £26.25m - ridiculous yes, but it does make teams think about the cost of buying a player. Maybe that would force the cost of transfers down - but then clubs would not be so eager to sell anyway - which is a good thing surely ? Just an idea.....

With a single season left on his contract , 8,000,000 is a very good deal IMO

If it's £8 million then take it. Laudrup can do a lot with the money and we have Routledge who can cover. If not, De G can play wide with Kemy/Orlandi in midfield.

I'd be VERY tempted if 8m was the bid. Player with only 12months left on his contract, and considering he never set the PL on fire last season then 8m would be a very good offer. But I wouldn't like to sell until we get a replacement, that might not happen but I would want a quality replacement, and still have Routledge as back up.

To me the main person we should NOT even be considering bids for and that's Ash, to me we should look at his contract and improve it. I know it will mean more money etc and I don think we should pay silly wages but it he's a vital cog in our defence.

£8 million would buy Pablo Hernandez with some change to spare....if this enquiry becomes more of an agreement with Valencia this week then get my keys and I'll drive Sinclair to Manchester myself!!!

If it comes down to Hernandez or Sinclair it'll be a case of "thanks for getting us to the Prem Scotty boy, but bye bye!"
