Correct, he should never play for Swansea again unless he signs a new contract.

I'm getting worried now because more and more I'm agreeing with Dai's posts.

Good post Dai, absolutely spot on.

he was average in team gb tbh....

i think he's mad to consider moving away when another year or two at swansea of first team football is important, if he moves elsewhere for money yes he'll be rich but he could be in and out of the team...

He's probably heared about new wingers and thinks that's me then. He struck me as another Arshavin last season, and very tackle shy. No imo cash in.

I do like sterio's idea of extra buy out cash for length of contract left, otherwise what's the use of a contract?

Sinclair has really put us in the ****. Which is why I wanted to force him out at the start of the summer.

Think about it. Man City, or anyone else, will not bid until the very last minute of the transfer window...and the offer will be derisory.
We will either have to let him go on the cheap, ensuring a big signing on fee for Scott, or on a free at the end of the season, with an even bigger signing on fee for Scott.
Personally, if we don't get a £5 million + offer by August 31st, I would keep him and play him in the reserves for the season....I'd play Gwion Edwards for the first XI before him.
Some of you might say that's spiteful.
I think it would send a clear message to the rest of the squad that you **** us around at the risk of your career (people might have forgotten about him by next summer).

Hi Lads - City fan here....

I've just heard on the grapevine up here that Sinclair will be travelling to M'ter tomorrow AM for a medical after a 5.7m fee was agreed (from a reliable source).

Just wondered what your thought are on him - must say everyone i've spoken to is a bit dismayed especially after the Rags got RVP!

It can't be for the home grown/english quota as we have more english players than most squads in the Premier League.

Hate to see him come in and AJ go elsewhere as given his chance and if he pulled his finger is unplayable.

    Any thoughts welcome.

Please give us the £5.7 million, pronto.

Weird stuff going on at yours these days. None of us can make any sense of this transfer.

It's got me baffled honestly, they have better players in the same position. Guess he'll be playing in the reserves for them on wages 3 times what we pay him. And they'll think that's a bargain.

Agree completely. I'm happy to play him the reserves until he renews his contract. Gwion was played in the pre-season games and would be decent cover for Routledge - ok, he's green but he's got talent otherwise he wouldn't have been taken on tour.

Well nobody likes to lose your better players but Sinclair hasn't exactly set the world on fire in the Prem has he? Like others I'm bemused by this. One of the main reasons he came here was that he wasn't getting first team football at Chelsea. The same thing will happen at City, but hey ho. Give us the dosh and bye bye.

I totally agree with other comments here that he really isn't as good as he thinks he is. Far too predictable imo. Dyer beats his man far more easily though Scott's finishing is better.

Yet another player who is not irreplaceable, but as I've posted elsewhere, my main concern is exceeding our quota of foreign players.

Oh and Dai - keep posting stuff I agree with and I might actually learn to love you. <hug>

    This one:

"If any one of our players and i dont care who it is wants to go then to me let them go. I only want players that want to play for the club and give 100%....I think we have a good manager and so far he has brought in some really good players that if these players wants to go then we should grab the money and let ML replace them with better....some of these players would not be where they are if it was not for Swansea giving them a chance anyway and I have no fear if anyone goes as ML is the manager he will get players we could only dream about playing for us just a short few seasons ago...."

Can't disagree with anything there. Now doesn't that make a change? <laugh>
