All manages are hypocrites anyway, I'm not fussed about comments he's made about a player in the heat of the moment 18 months ago. Yeah Diouf is a prick, but as it stands he's our prick, and he's not a bad player really. Seem to recall Mancini saying Tevez would never play for Man City again last year, and Balotelli, and look, what a surprise...they both played. Nobody accuses Mancini of being a hypocrite because those two helped them win the league! Diouf might yet prove us all wrong <ok>
How very true

The opinion of an ex Celtic player at that.

Wonder if anyone on the Rangers forum started a 'Walter Smith Out' thread.

Spitting is absolutely disgusting, as is El Hadji Diouf.

Elmo has proven she is the ultimate unreasonable, emotion-driven apologist by making excuses for him. Spitting is a Senegalese medical practice? Get to absolute ****.
How does that validate or justify this act of aggression in any way?

To accept Diouf for his misdemeanours is to accept Cantona. He did similar things, spitting at a Leeds fan and kicking a Palace fan. Do we accept his bad manners as passion? No. Because it's beyond that - it's self-addiction. To hell with the pair of them. Similar specimens.

DIOUF OUT - WARNOCK OUT.

Thought I'd interrupt my holiday from the South of France to say this because I feel so strongly about it.

Once again, and to sign off from this thread, surely the emotions this signing has brought out in some, including me, shows just how divisive this has already been for the club, however much it is claimed there is no risk? Much of the damage has already been done IMO.

Give it five games... I think warnock will do well. Got the team working well and he won't be putting it about like Larry....

As long as Diouf keeps calm (which he probably will early on in the season and if not he'll be on his bike anyway with the contract he has) would prefer him not to be here but if he scores a goal or two I don't care about his past.

I bet Bates loves the signing, someone to divert some of the hatred and attention away from himself.
