http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foot...i-8030689.html Don't know how reliable the source is but if it's true then this is just ridiculous!
It wasn't for us, it was for the chavs.. it was a cash and player deal for Edison Cavani. The player was Meireles I think
Sickening. I would imagine it was still a large cash offer as Raul is worth very little...'cause he is ****.
35m plus Raul according to the Chelsea lot. It's still ridiculous! According to the Chavs as well, they've apparently agreed the deal, they just need to sort his wages out.
Not worried in the slightest about negative football fc. Their 'attacking' players: By my reckoning, they have Torres, Sturridge, Mata, Lampard, Meireles, Ramires, Hazard 1 and 2, De Bruyne, Marin, Oscar, Malouda and it looks like they are getting Moses. If they get Cavani, along with the others I just don't see where they will fit in, in the 10-0-0 formation this season: http://m.skysports.com/article/football//7982143
It's more the fact about how much they're spending, it just gets ridiculous .. I mean, if they get Cavani then that's £100m easily, it's also annoying that we spent £120m last season and got the likes of Downing and Adam, that's frustrating as well
£16mil Henderson. £9mil Adam. £18mil Downing. £6mil Enrique. £0 Bellamy. My calculations that's £49mil?
Okay so 50m last season but 35m on Carroll and 20m on Suarez. I know it wasn't over just one transfer window but we've spent not a lot less than them and they do have a lot more quality than us at the moment. I'm over the moon with Suarez but the others aren't great, are they?
I missed Coated as well who was another £7mil but even still. Looking on transferleage.com in the last 2 years we've spent £80mil in 10/11 season and reclaimed £85mil making £5mil profit and spent £54mil in 11/12 and reclaimed £21mil. That means over 2 seasons we've had a net spend of £28mil. Compare that to Chelsea who spent £99mil on 10/11 and reclaimed £12mil then spent £82mil in 11/12 and reclaimed £24mil that means a net spend of £145mil. Add this year into it and they've spent £63mil and not sold anyone for any money and we've spent £10mil and got £8mil back. when you say we've spent not a lot less, you need to look past the money spent and look at money earned through transfers as well and you'll see a net amount of £30mil for us over last 3 years and a net amount for chelsea of £208mil! That is the difference...
Well i think he was referring to the Carroll + Suarez transfers last season, which would be around 53m, so 100 at least over the course of 6 months (ignoring the fact that Carroll was -15m, but whatever). The only poor signings were Adam and Downing. Henderson is one for the future, a bit overpriced but thats not the lads fault, and he can eventually justify it if he improves his offensive game. Also, if we were to sign both Sahin and Tello, that would a ****ing brilliant attacking squad. Suarez, Borini, Tello, Gerrard, Allen, Lucas, Enrique, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Reina (1st team) with Downing, Sahin, Henderson, Shelvey, Coates, Adam, Carroll to come in off the bench, and Suso/Sterling/Morgan/Pacheco to make sporadic appearances to gain experience. thats an excellent team, better than at the end of last season for sure.
