I know that.

ok, I maybe worded it wrong. He is exploring theories. If he wants to nail his colours to them, then that is his business.

I was just making sure I am distanced from them.

1. Well that's a complete lie. Even in America, where the split amongst the general population between those who believe in Creation and those who don't is virtually 50:50, only 1 in 400 scientists believe in the 6-Day hypothesis.

2. About the only thing you've said that makes any sense, though I disagree with the manner you have written this (though abiogenesis is the idea that is currently held to be true). You are implying that because we don't know with much certainty the ORIGIN of life, we cannot accept, discuss or teach EVOLUTION, an unrelated subject entirely.

3. We know full well what God COULD do. It is irrelevant when debating if He did - or even if He exists. That is circular reasoning.

4. Completely incorrect. Even Answers In Genesis, the Creationist website, has posted an article saying this is an incorrect and worthless argument on your part.
http://www.answersingenesis.org/creation/v15/i4/moondust.asp

5. A complete lie out of desparation. It has been proven, and without it agriculture and medicine as we now know it would fall apart.

6. Dreaming about a man with a beard means nothing. Please show me some evidence about these crackpots.

7. And? What is your point? If it isn't Christianity, it goes against your argument anyway, and tells a different tale of Creation. Also, it's called FAITH for a reason. Numbers mean nothing.

8. There are approximately 1 BILLION atheists worldwide. As I said above though, that alone proves nothing.

9. Not at all. I have a capacity to imagine myself flying. Does that mean I can fly? Does it mean that either I or someone else, somewhere in the world, has wings?

10. So out of 2,000 years since the dawn of Christianity, you pick the 20th century alone to demonstrate that it has never been the cause of a war? Hmm...

11. Well I've managed it.

12. Good luck on Saturday (we're awful at home)! <ok>

NO response !!!

Were you a victim of a "drive by posting" ?

A child is led to believe in a religion from an early age , no matter what the religion he is born into . There was no choice in the matter & leaves many a kid growing up pondering the truth about a religion he or she gets in line with & marches on with their parents . It asks a lot of our children to believe . My kids grew up without religion nor steered away from any & they will make there own decisions on the subject as there minds expand with age .

I honestly thought there was nothing of any substance to the whole thing. I respect Rosey Tiger's dismantling of it (it's his thread, thrfr prerogative I guess). As another passer-by, personally, I didn't think there was even so much as one argument there, other than the Doncaster Rovers bit.

Come on you religionists;-
What about ontology and the statistical unlikelihood of life at all?
What about personal experience and our innate sense of wonder?
What about existential consciousness as an entity outside the individual?
- all far better arguments that anything purported so far.

The wall the believers are coming up against is too high for their faith to lift them over.
A leap of faith will never beat good old facts! :)

And yet you all floundered in the face of fact.

just because you didn't like em.

My Faith is solid, as are the facts I pointed towards. no problem here.

Yay! My thread's resurrected like that guy in that comic!

Wait - that wasn't a comic! That was a book that 2billion+ people organise their lives around! We're all ****ed...

But surely it makes no sense to add a post to a thread complaining that it will not die if you're keeping it alive by posting on it? <cheers>...

It was really real, knob.

If I have to read the pathetic pedantic patter of rebel one more time, I'm going to find him and strangle him with his own intestines.
