The eccentric and sporadic fits of 'morality' in the football world never cease to amaze me.....

I think Wayne Brown is the only person in the world who has managed to provoke a violent reaction from Chris Powell

He was a decent defender but his passing was shocking

He was never fast and had some injuries that slowed him even more.

A solid and reliable Championship player even if that makes him sound ****.

He was a good old fashioned centre half. He would kick it, head it and stick his body on the line

A great defender, the Brown/Turner cb partnership will always be remembered as the backbone to our promotion. He has a right to vote for who he pleases, although sometimes it it a smart thing to keep it quiet.

He certainly does have that right, as i have for calling him a thick **** for voting for them.

Good player, but I lost all respect for him after the BNP thing. One of the few things I agreed with Nigel Pearson on.

Blimey - I actually agree with you for once TWF

We actually have a British Nigerian Party based here in Clapham - and I can assure you they struggle considerably having that same acronynm!

Whilst I agree people can vote for who they want (I.E that is the point of a free vote) - some votes are just daft, its like voting Brevik in as the president of your local gun club. Just because there is a vote there doesnt mean people shouldnt know right from wrong.

Considering he announced it to his multi-racial team mates in this day-in-age beggars belief - just about sums up the BNP's following.

Good luck to him, I loved watching him and Turner in the promotion season

As for the rest personally I dont think a football forum is the place to discuss politics

Neither is a football dressing room then. Especially if you're a thick, uneducated scumbag who's stupid and misguided enough to vote for the BNP.

If you think Britain is 'overcrowded' to the point where you have to vote BNP then do us all a ****ing favour and move to ****ing Sealand or something.

But Britain IS overcrowded!!!

Would rather talk about Wayne as footballer than discuss his political affiliaitons. Wayne played his part in taking us up to the premier league and helped improve Turner's game. As other posters have said, the sight of him jumping on Bo's back just before the final whistle at Wembley will live long in the memory.
