...at the age of 34(in fact he played he played his last game on 28th October last year). He's now given up playing, to be a coach at Colchester United. Good luck to him.
Was a good larker for us up to Wigan at home. Will never forget the image of him jumping on Myhills back at wembly. Shame that he tainted his reputation some what after leaving us!
his champagne moment for me was when he jumped on Bo's shoulders with seconds to go at wembly when he knew we had won..........City career low - his mauling by Zaki at the Circle agen Wigan. good luck wayne
Yeah it got out that he voted for them and was roundly abused and discriminated for it. Great player for us in the promotion season, hope the coaching career goes well.
He had an argument with some of his team-mates about the level of immigration and he told them he thought it was so out of hand that he'd voted BNP. It didn't go down very well with Lloyd Dyer and one or two others and he had to apologise. And then he got the elbow.
Have to agree he was spot on for us and if I am not mistaken we live in a country were you can vote for whoever you wish so that should not be held against him good luck Wayne
Good player, but I lost all respect for him after the BNP thing. One of the few things I agreed with Nigel Pearson on.
Was this ever made public or you just surmising? Perhaps WB's lack of pace or injuries were the reason?
It was made public. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...o-squad-after-BNP-vote-row-article426215.html Good player, daft racist.
He was suspended as soon as it happened and NP told him he'd never play for Leicester again. He then went to Preston and as soon as Brownie arrived, he told him he'd never play for them again either. After the Wigan game, Wayne's only Premier League game for us, Brownie never said a single word to him again, until they met up again at Preston(he made him train with the youth team).
