I don't know about the rest of you guy's but I'm getting Sick & Tired of all this" My clubs better than your club"drivel that appears to be ruining, some really good threads started by members/fans of both LCFC & HCAFC ! Not wishing to stop a bit of banter, because when it stays on topic, it can be quite funny and entertaining thus for me, brightening up what was previously a miserable day I myself have to hold my hands up and admit that on a couple of occasions I have let myself down by my standards There has been both good and funny threads/posts on both boards with healthy doses of banter thrown in to the mix,from the likes of Johnny(babies arm) Fallen, Proud Fox, AKCJ on here and OLM, Strov & co from Hull, so lets just (where necessary) agree to dis-agree but not be personal about individual players/managers of our clubs, as deep down I know there is a mutual respect for both !
I don't have a problem with any of you, in fact It's good to have an educated conversation with some of you, I don't think you'll get a truce out of OLM, Strov or Charlie though, good luck though
I'll agree to a truce. The banter is funny until it gets rather childish and stupid. I don't have a problem with anyone on the Leicester board. Great thread idea by the way!
I asked for this a year ago and the thread degenerated into another pissing contest - can see it happening again unfortunately.
Maybe with those amongst us who can't be civilized. I have had many decent conversations with Leicester fans without turning it into an arms race. Strov might not agree to a truce, and fallen probably won't. But in all fairness, many of us are sick of it and past it.
Have to admit I find most of the 'banter' wryly amusing and it helps tp pass the day .... got no problem with the Hull lads and lasses (Strov and Charlie .... sorry couldn't resist) posting on our board and if they and the few Leeds lads, the recent Shrews etc weren't here it would be very dull and we'd soon start getting irritated wth each other ... we're like one big extended family ... share the love ... but not literally Fallen.... you know by now that the post office won't accept that stuff.
A truce from what? Sure there are some trolls who post on here, but won't take part in any truce - There are also some very good Hull fans who post on here and add a lot to our board and yes I am talking about OLM in that group but certainly not exclusively - I even like Charlie although sorry Charlie I do laugh at you rather than with you. A while ago this board was a nightmare - Not worth posting on. It Proud, AKCJ, Fosse Filberto & OLM worked together and sorted it out - It's fine now just a bit of cross board banter which in the main is fun - it would be a dull site if we all stuck to our own boards, so embrace the half wits and good wums ignore the trolls - Sorry Stroppy as soon as I work out the ignore button its being pressed for you
We're not saying the cross board banter has to diminish, just that they stupid arms race that goes on where there's the "My Club is better than your Club" or "Our club finished higher than yours" nonsense.
Note how often they are on our board posting in alot of the threads, yet they aren't to be seen in this one.
It's the summer holidays - Charlie's probably building sandcastles and eating gritty sandwiches on a wind swept beach somewhere near Scarborough whilst Strov may well have enrolled in a residential summer school 'anger management' programme ... I'm sure they'll both be back as soon as the real action starts.
Sorry fella, I had to go to Milan yesterday(for lunch), so missed this excellent thread of yours. I agree wholeheartedly, though I'm slightly disappointed that some of you haven't noticed that I've been fairly grown up recently. I shall attempt to be even more grown up in future. PS - I had the seafood and tomato spaghetti followed by a Panna cotta, but I recommend you don't let the Italians talk you into trying their sparkling rose wine. Shocking Stuff. Love OLM
