I wish Steven Davis hadn´t got called up. He has just returned from injury and I think it´s a little early for him to be playing an International match. Hopefully, he´ll play only a part of the game.
And also I'm guessing they'll miss out in one or two of our final pre-season games.

Funniest national team player is Chris Birchall for Trinidad and Tobago. If I remember correctly, his (both English) grandparents gave birth to his mum while on holiday (or extended stay or something) in Port of Spain, the Trini capital. Chris was born himself in Stafford. It's just remarkable seeing him with the T&T team.

Anybody want to guess which one he is?

Extra points for the other familiar faces.

ha ha. Don't laugh though. My 11 year old can play for Jamaica. I won't post a picture on here (after you lot commenting on Laura Robson - she looks 12 to someone my age!), but I can assure you he is as white as Birchall in the above photo. His mum is Jamaican born, to a Chinese/Jamaican Father and an English/Irish mother, so he easily qualifies to play for Jamaica, Ireland and England. Depending on the rules, he could play for China as his Great Grandfather was Chinese!!

Choosing to ignore the comment about the lovely Laura (I fear I'll get violent otherwise :D) That's a very interesting mixture to come out as white as Chris Birchall! Jamaica, England and China though, your family must go crazy for the Olympics.

On the colouring I can only say I must be the dominant gene!

Olympics on our house is a nightmare. Last night both kids and the wife in Jamaican shirts on one couch, me on the other. Then anything other than sprinting an the kids get their GB gear out.
