It's to show he was unselfish and isn't amongst the greed that's within football. He is saying to respect those that are actually legends fighting to protect the Country instead of playing a sport.

Birmingham vs Palace, and Palace were losing 4-1 after 20 minutes. Was amusing the reaction of the woman, when she tried to jump the barrier at the away fans (bare in mind all the police and all).

Should have let her attempt the jump into the away crowd, it was at least a 12ft drop. That would have been worth watching rather than the **** match.

Aah, but nobody still gets the irony in such a stupid chant. Firstly, it's taking the mick out of the opposing side for losing so badly, and secondly, you morons fall for the trap and then do it back to us in a slightly more camp way therefore making you all look ridiculous.
