Maybe this is why Rodgers wants rid of Carroll.....

Sorry but we had a far better season than you last year. Your club was an embarrasment. And you had no real injuries problems and no excuses other than utterly wasting £100m that EVERY fan in the world knew u had done BEFORE the team proved their terribleness on the pitch.

Your terrible buys were only compounded by sticking with a manager who was probably the worst I have ever seen in the premier league.

Calm down.<laugh>

jeez that was the easiest bite ever.:biggrin:

I know we were, yet we won more than you.

Cute that you count the carling cup as a legitimate major trophy.

You must think Wenger is very cute then considering he played Arsenal's best 11 in the final against relegation fodder Birmingham City in the final.

[h=3]Arsenal[/h]
[h=4]Substitutes[/h]

<whistle>

Same tired argument mate. It was a final. No big sides play their big teams through the whole competition. Even in the final recently we played our reserves.

The team i posted was from your loss 'in the final recently'.<doh>

And if you bothered your arse to look you'd see that we played our kids and reserves on the way to the final.:biggrin:

Wilson,Shelvey,Robinson,Maxi,,Coates,Doni,Flannagan,Spearing,Kelly all played in the earlier rounds.

The only time before the final we played a 'full' team was the 2nd leg of the semi against City(they played their full team in both legs)

Whatever. Clutching at straws comes to mind. Even if you did play reserves then it just proves even more than you won the equivalent of the reserve cup.

So you weren't one of those at 0.34 in this vid?

Seems the Arsenal first team wanted to win it bigtime against a relegation doomed Birmingham City and the thousands at the game that celebrated Van Persie's goal are real Gunners supporters.

Still your last trophy win was how many years ago?, and the Emirates Cup doesn't count.:biggrin:

Havent read all this but sure even that A4L rimlicker is not claiming that the arse did not "want/try" to win the cup?

I know tt but he wants it both ways,its either a reserves cup(Arsenal played their full strengh team in the final which negates his claim),or he accepts that like Arsenal we wanted to win it just like they did and played reserves and youngsters in the earlier rounds.<ok>

Tisk tisk: I thought the reason for A4Ls absence was some kind of WUM terrorist training camp where he was getting new material.

I almost got nostalgic in his absence due to the utterly dire level of Wumming by his wannabes.

Just how disappointed am I that he's just pulling out the same tired old routine. I want a refund!

Whens the 3rd place and champions league participation ribbons coming out again? ;)

You want it both ways mate. Is it a proper trophy or not? If it is why does everyone play reserves before the final?

A lot of confused liverpool fans in this thread.

Anyway, I dont even know how this got onto the joke cup. We were discussing big andy.

Although maybe you could keep big andy. If he points his toes a bit more and increases the difficulty of his dives (maybe try a few vs arsenal or man united and try to get a pen this time) then he could be on for big things? He certainly never makes a splash anywhere he goes so thats a good starting point. I can see gold in big andy's future. Rio 2016 <magic>

We were discussing the Carling Cup.

Of course its a proper trophy,it even comes with a Europa League spot for the winners.

Prem clubs also play reserves in the early rounds of the FA Cup(depending on the opposition), are you doubting that's not a 'proper trophy'?

The Emirates Cup is not a 'proper trophy' yet your club and supporters celebrate winning it like it is.:biggrin:

The bottom line is Arsenal's youngsters playing 'pretty' football has won them jack ****, are Arsenal in existence to win trophies or to forever be the bridesmaids and never the bride?
