One player who I always thought would excel at Liverpool was Lisandro Lopez. Decent finisher, good with his back to goal, deceptively strong despite his small frame, fairly fast, holds off defenders well and would certainly complement Liverpool's style of play. Unfortunately, he is 29 years old and would only have a couple of good years left in him. Shame you didn't get him when he was younger, but then again you had an in-form Torres. Still, I suppose for strong back up or for squad rotation, he would have been a very good player to have.
I have mentioned him before but as you say 29 and recent injury plagued seasons have not helped his cause. He was immense for Porto but as you said we had Torres and our owners thought that was enough.

It seems Rogers uses full backs for width.
If we sign Ramirez, who is left footed, I can see him playing on the right and cutting in. Same with Suarez on the left. The full backs will then over lap and add width.
Think the same, was a massive fan in the begining, but he seemed to get worse and worse as the season went on, as you say, he is not good in advanced positions, but can defend well, he rarely gets beaten 1 on 1. Perhaps he should just stick to defending.
Its good to have two alternatives.
Johnson is better going forward than Kelly, but Kelly is probably more solid (though Johnson wins on experience).
Not sure if much can be put by that but I hope he signs soon if he's signing at all.
