Nah, we do not really. Wilshere is still injured and we can't ever trust Diaby with his injury record. Rosicky is also injured thanks to the Euro's and Ramsey is coming off a pretty average season. We can't rely on him week in week out anyway. Also, Cazorla can play out wide as well, and with Walcott not singing a new contract yet, it's wise to get in Cazorla now.

When you put it like that, then, yeah, you do need cover in midfield.

I see that the BBC is reporting that AFC are on the verge of signing two Spanish midfielders.

Because Arsenal doesn't have enough midfielders <doh>

Shouldn't they be looking to buy a striker to replace RvP?

Nope, we're not signing two Spanish midfielders just the one. Cazorla is Spanish and can also play on the wings but Wenger will most likely play him through the middle as our new "Fabregas", the other is Nuri Sahin but he's turkish and its only going to be a loan deal to cover Wilshere as he wont make the start of the season. I think the only reason Sahin hasn't signed yet is because Wenger wants the option to buy at the end if he does well here.

Must admit i thought you guys would have had Sahin in the bag as part of the Modric deal, hes a cracking player dont you think AVB should have pushed for this?

i think Sahin did not want to come to us..plus the Modric saga is far from done so it still could happen.

This made me chuckle.

case in point.

Some spurs fans are twattier than even the twattiest.

totsfan makes HIAG look coherant.

Whereas, you make Rab C Nesbitt look literate.

Yet accurate.

What if we take Dzeko, Adebayor and Santa Cruz off City's hands?
We won't pay a transfer fee or any of their wages, but they won't have them cluttering up the dressing room or the bench.
Sounds fair, doesn't it?

Chelsea just lost 3-1 to Brighton. Not the it mean much but was quite funny watching as they had pretty much their strongest team out.
I'd like to see Brighton get promoted next year. I'd quite fancy the away trip. Their new stadium is impressive and I like the way they play football.

Petr Cech; Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill, John Terry Terry, Ashley Cole; Raul Meireles, Michael Essien, Frank Lampard; Ramires Santos do Nascimento, Fernando Torres, Eden Hazard - your boys took one hell of a thrashing!

And the attendance at Scamford Bridge for this friendly? 17,149. And I didn't need to phone the stadium (right, CPofL?), it's posted on their website!

He's either about 12 or he's got brain damage.
YV's advice is spot on.

Talking about age, just saw in that other thread that HiaG was in the 45-55 bracket!? <yikes>

He was pretty entertaining when I thought of him as a deluded, angry, overenthusiastic teenager. Interesting how just one bit of information turned "entertaining" to "sad".
