Yes it all appears now to be a done deal - done and dusted. Not that i had any concerns in him leaving especially to Lesta anyway. Readings Jem Karachan has stopped contract talks and wants out. Impressed me last season. Erm....Yes it would matter as it would have cost millions to replace Koren and his goals. Only the clueless had that belief that it did not matter. As you say glad this is finally sorted. Yes he has. He wants PL football sooner rather than later. Looking forward to Sept. 22nd already now. Indeed.
Indeed it shall. Its a big week for us as we also have a mid-week game @ TWS prior to this on the 18th.
Not quite a done deal yet... Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham Reports of Robert Koren signing new deal are premature. #hcafc optimistic but there's a middle ground still to be found.
Always rely on Buckingham to come up with something bad. It will only be loose ends that need tidying up. imo.
22nd August should be good against Blackburn, also Charlton 3 days later. Bolton on 1 September as well as a real local derby on 23 October against Boro, also Barnsley on 3 November, Huddersfield in December and Wednesday in January. Its just a shame the Blunts are here. 22 September against Leicester will be no more exciting than Watford for instance in December or Derby and Peterboro also. Why is anyone getting excited about just another Southern team who may have a decent squad for the new season.
Fair enough. I personally am looking foward to it because I feel we're both assembling decent, potentially exciting squads and I think the events of the last year will add a bit of spice to it.
nah regardless of what has supposedly 'spiced things up' as you intimate, its just another game against a decent Southern team. I have always hated going to the artificial atmosphere and americanised 'saarcarised' new Leicestan stadium. Poor parking, bad organisation and ticketing in the past, bad viewing point for away fans, and worst of all a drum and music after goals. A truly crap matchday experience in a depressed mono-cultured city. Incidentally fact is, I appreciate what Nigel Pearson did for us in a very difficult post Murdoch League over-spend era (all clubs do it, although some more than others), but if he or Steve Bruce were to get a better offer, they'd both be off. Its just a job after all!
as i have for the last two meetings in the same breath and for similar reasons, I also stay away from Coventry, Ipswich, Palace to name but 3, as well as alot of the Murdoch League grounds when I had the opportunity recently for two seasons that are ruining traditional football experiences for real football supporters throughout the country for a handful of beans as the prize.
best chant I ve heard at a football ground in a quite a few season's was Al Jaxson's at Leicester: "If you cant get a girlfriend, get a drum!"
I agree with you. The events over the last year have made games with Lesta almost as important as games against TWS. In the wider scheme of things though all games are worth just 3 points.
games against Leeds United are nt even as important as games against Wednesday, Bolton, Blackburn and Huddersfield. Leicestan is way way down the list! If Nigel Pearson leaves tomorrow, Leicestan will matter no more, the others will always be true traditional rivals
so can we stick to our own rivalries rather than inventing them. its coventry and forest for you isnt it? maybe watford and peterboro??
