Just struck me that there is a chance that only Adel from our Championship winning team will be in the starting line up against Swansea. Possible line up - Green, Fabio, Ferdinand, Nelsen, Traore, Diakite, Park, Hoillet, Taarabt, Cisse, Zamora. In fact only 3 of that 11 with the club since before 2012.
That's a massive change in 12 months. From my perspective real progress from the team we fielded against Bolton last August. Not just the team, but the club has grown massively in ambition (buzzword), vision and ability to deliver.
Brilliant.
 
Ahem. You're forgetting Hill.

I still don't think there's a better CB in the team, at least going by his last two season's performances.

You've missed the point, it's about the end of that championship team, not about individuals. At the most we will have Tarbs, Derry (dire circumstances only), Mackie and Hill ( you're entitled to your view on him. He was great defensively and his attitude is outstanding, but his distribution is too weak at the top level. thought he played LB for a lot of the Championship season). Whatever, the Championship team is gone.
 
I was going to post after the swans game, the line ups (including bench) of the team to play the first games of our last game in the championship, first game in the Prem and first game of this season.

I think the progression would be scary!!

I reckon Taarabt will definitely be there. If Faurlin is fit then he'll be in there as well. If not Park will play CM and Mackie will be in RM. Hill will also be there unless we sign a new CB. at least 2 will be starting.
 
Ability to deliver will be judged on how they fare this season shirley?

I'd get used to the changes as its going to be a merry-go-round of player of the next few years, poss 5 every summer plus 1/2 in the winter.

Agree lot of quality has been put together, I hope it will gel. Can't wait for the real test. Come on u R'sss.
 
if you were to go back to the team we had when neil took over. it really is amazing how far we have come from those dark days. thank god for amit.
