    Something to complain about?

McLean would probably have scored with Brown as manager? Would have been 6-1 with PB? Something like that?

Brilliant results today (even though I dont like Burnleys 3 points (they will be dangerous)
    But anyway...

Actually I'd say today is an ideal game for TWF's viewpoint. We go out with a more attacking mentality for one of the few times this season, we get the result, score 3, should have been at least 5 (McLean and the Simpson offside from a backpass) at home for the first time since the West Ham(?) game and it gets the crowd excited and some noise being made.

He would probably have whined over the attacking mentality if it had gone wrong, considering that Doncaster werent passive ^-^ That NP should have stayed with his usual stuff

Indeed, no Harper or "our best player" Barmby either, couldn't be happier with todays game and performance. As I said in another thread, credit to Pearson for having the balls to change his tactics so close to the end of the season. I'm not going to say I was wrong before though, because our tactics weren't working.

Are you trying to make friends by jumping on the "Unneccessarily mention TWF" bandwagon? You're better than that.

I am, but just tired of your whining in both bad and good times. Good to see you satisfied and I hope u keep it up. Be happy with NPs acchievments (hmm, tricky word) so far. The points/table position speaks for it self. He might not be the most attacking minded coach but showed his class today when he switched some gears.

I probably "like" Harper as much as you, but it wont help to whine. He wont get better of that will he? But you are still wrong about Nicky, who has been awesome as a impact-sub

I'd say it was more down to the presence of Garcia than the absence of Harper (although I have yet to work out what he offers). Having a wide player that knows how to get into and around the box to support the attacks when the ball is on the opposite flank is a huge plus (like Elliott and Price back in D3). It also helps having a striker alongside Fryatt who's 2nd touch isn't a tackle.

NIe to be back in hull for the game. We looked better in the last 30minutes at Swansea, but loved being in the East stand close to the Donny fans today.

McLean should have put that 4th goal away!

Apart from that, nevere felt nervous. NP must know this is his best team (with Marms as supersub!).

Having seen us agains Watford, Swansea and Donny in the last 8 days I think we'll make the play-offs!

Back to Horsham tomorrow and then I'll buy my QPR ticket!

Roll on wembley (and my 50 - 1 promotion bet)

(His nan is form Hull, his nan is from Hull........)

There was a team we all wanted to see today........we saw it.

It involved Pearson dropping his most expensive signing and a bloke he's been backing for weeks........ he did it anyway.

Maybe some people judged him too early?

Not for me to say. :emoticon-0110-tongu

    Fair comment.

My point was just that he's not afraid to shake it up if he thinks it's in the best interest of the team.

And as for seeing what everyone else already knew, I believe we recently had a manager who never quite managed that one.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Interesting comments, I think if we had gone gung-ho every game then we would have nowhere near the points we have now, but seeing as we will never actually know then it's impossible to say.

Playing 2 midfielders that can attack isn't going gung-ho.

We were handicapped before Xmas by the lack of strikers (Fryatt not signed and Simpson having come in looking a bit chubby) but since then we've had the options available most of the time. Stewart and Garcia are much better wingers than our other options though so while they were both out we were again handicapped.

Dowie was a joke, but when it came to team selections, he didn't change the course set by his predecessor.
