Hughes - 'Owen is training with the group. There is no obligation for either party. He is keen to retain his fitness.'

it would be good to sign him if he could stay fit, but he cant stay fit.

Id only go for it on a PAYP if we arent going to get near the 25 man limit.

Good luck to Owen and hope he can stay fit - but agree with other posts not in the 25 squad - we already have dyer and don't need another injury prone player.......

Apparently he's training with us for a week or two before signing for Fleetwod Town.

If only we could get him fit and injury free. We need CDM cover and I prefer not to see us sign some hotshot for £5m+. We already have Diakite and Ali. We just need someone to play 10 or so games a year.

Dyer and Hargreaves in the same squad would be inexcusable.

If we can get him signed on a PAYP then he'd be a great signing, I'd much rather him in the 25 than Dyer.

Dyer does not have a contract with us at this moment, I stress, he's not part of our squad, check the offish.

Hargreaves on the other hand is a gamble I hope we take, pure quality. The positives of a PAYP deal far outweighs the negatives IMO.

I have him in my 25 ahead of Derry if he could prove his fitness. Never a starter but great player to bring on to see out games........if can be kept injury free

This is all we know of Dyer's situation with us http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/21/kieron-dyer-qpr-contract-extension

There has never been an official confirmation that a deal has been struck though.

The Fail reports that "Sportsmail understands the 32-year-old has signed a pay-as-you-play contract, meaning there will be no financial burden on the club if he is not playing because of injury."

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2147576/Kieron-Dyer-signs-new-QPR-deal.html

Think it's this story that the confusion stars from.

I think this sort of news is put out in order to dispel speculation... only it tends to prompt speculation instead.
