AVB is still weeping into his cocoa at his harsh treatment at the hand of a group of players he had the total inability to manage properly.

Everyone appreciates he's a potentially great manager, but most can also see how his billy big potatoes approach to the squad eventually bit him in the arse.

His arrogance was apparently not very popular outside of the changing room either, unsurprisingly.

Still, having recently laid claim to our successes once he'd been sacked, he's now at it again saying how the spuds are easier to work with than our squad.

That's the difference in working with winners and losers Andre, but I'm sure you'll work that out soon enough.

Time you got on with it and walked the walk Mr Boas. I for one think the club made the right decision, but the best bit is it still bothers you:)

AVB man management was really poor and we were heading out of the champions league because of his inept tactics against Napoli. we were going no where under AVB. RDM took over had much better tactics and won us the Champions League and FA Cup with the same group of players and prevailed where AVB failed. The sacking of AVB was his own fault for not delivering the goods.

  16. I hear what you are saying, and it may well be the case that RDM goes on to prove that he can transfer your CL form into actually winning matches in the EPL, and finish better than 6th next season. However, my worry for him (and it is a genuine worry, not a wum worry), is that the "mate" factor will quickly evaporate, what with Drogba leaving, Terry about to receive a massive ban by the FA, and Lampard unlikely to get a new contract, and that he'll be left having no idea what to do. I'm simply not that convinced that the ex- MK Dons and West Brom manager is quite ready to lead Chelsea to domestic victory on his own.

I'm not usually vindictive but nothing would give me greater pleasure.

Spurs failing would be good enough but with him as their manager it would be salivatory

under normal circumstances RDM would not of even been short listed for the job, you have a valid point that most of us chelsea fans on here are aware of. we are obviously and rightly still buzzing from last season

    What mate factor?

Lampard joined one year before RDM retired, so that leaves Terry.

The fact he got the best out of a fractured squad, hacked by injuries and suspensions amazes me still to this day.

That's called man management by the way, you used to have someone who was very good at it...

RDM understands the club and what it means to the fans, combined with some decent training methods, tactical nous and the ability to relate he could do very well, let's see...

Our league position and form was already in pretty poor state before AVB went, so I can't really accept all these statements that his league tactics were poor...he got it spot on against Barca and Bayern, **** the neutrals and what they whine about.

He'll be judged on this season and possibly more in the future as far as the league goes.

In terms of being a huge part of our history...well he's already managed that, once as a player and now as a manager....you may remember he orchestrated a rather boring semi in the FA cup.

I'm fully behind him, and if he ****s it then at least he's had the balls to go about it the right way and he can't do any worse than that ginger **** at the lane.
