Respect. Know exactly what you mean with this one. I find it terribly insecure and quite often these people get uncovered as absolute bullshitters I find they often cover up their own weaknesses through their kids who are usually quite 'special' anyway. Around other people it turns into a points scoring game especially when someone else's child has achieved something.
