Not remotely bitter Elland!! Ok maybe I am a bit! I like the quote on this thread.................................. "form is temporary, class is permanent." They have left a CLASS club like LUFC with its proud History & bright future (fingers crossed on that one!) for an over achieving team in the midst of a TEMPORARY purple patch. Would have fancied their prospects better if Lambert had stayed to be honest.
But they're still far more likely to be in the PL after next season than we are, and it's a short career. Let's face it, he could well have retired by the time we get back to where we were. People need to snap out of this delusion that players should be jumping at the chance to play for us.
There is nothing more hilarious than foul mouthed northeners that do not understand the dynamics of the premiership. Best stay in the 70s methinks.
I recall we were the best team in the Country in the early 90's. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT THAT IS LIKE...
What is more hilarious is a Clubs fans that has to get berated by an aging T.V. cook at half time for not getting behind their team (& at home too!). Shameful.
Treacletown, your midfield has been deluged with ex- Leeds players, is that why you are on our boards, cos you secretly love LUFC & having 3 of our players is just not enough of a fix for you??
Not sure what your problem is, good player did well for you, was always destined to join a big club, surely you can't fault him for having some ambition
the amount of tme you have been away from the top tier is more like permenant , god you must be confused a leeds fan in Manchester you must hate everything hahaha Snodgras needed to move away from a feeder club to a real club
I must add - I am disillusioned as to why we are signing so many ex Portsmouth players. No matter how you look at it they are in a division lower than us and they finished behind us last season. I feel it shows a lack of ambition however I fully accept that there are Leeds supporters happy with Norris and not Varney or excited that we have Pearce bit not so much the others - opinion is divided and open for debate which is understandable. I find it very strange that Norwich supporters seem united and pleased as punch that they have taken three of our better players but honestly is that it? Are Norwich fans not concerned that the best they can attract is Chmpionship quality players? Sone Aluko in my opinion is a far better player than Snoddy as is Whittingham and probably Templeton who we are said to be chasing. It isn't knocking Norwich, I just cannot understand why their fans are not expecting more than raids from the same club all the time? I would be a little pissed off, honestly it isn't sour grapes, I just cannot understand why a few are not sighing and questioning the stereotype pattern with their transfer policy.
Five if you include Brown - Hence my opening line I am disillusioned as to why we are signing so many ex Portsmouth players. No matter how you look at it they are in a division lower than us and they finished behind us last season. So not sure what you are trying to get at with pot-kettle? Do you have a selective reading problem??
Does it make me arrogant and ignorance. That does not make any sense. I rest my case!!! It made me very proud. Why would being the best team in the Country make me arrorant or ignorant in the first place?
What you must remember is, Howson and Johnson have played their part in what was a great season for us. Most Leeds fans have said that Snodgrass is the best player of the three, so he should improve our squad. We are not in a position to splash out 8m on proven Premier League players at the moment, so we have to buy the best payers we can. Snodgrass was one of the best players in the Championship.
