Swindon fan in peace- To all you Pompey fans i hope the problems at your club get resolved soon and that you will still be a league club in the season coming. It is sad times to see a club of Pompeys history in the position you are in as we have had our share of problems in the past as well so i know how you guys are feeling.
So i hope you a buyer to take over the club and you can soon start looking forward to good times again.

Watford Fan in peace......I cant imagine what it must be like to support Pompey at the moment. I know Watford were in serious trouble until the recent takeover by the Pozzo family. Whilst we may not like the fact they saced Dyche least we are able to see a future.
It is a real shame that the people responsible for this mess arent the ones being blamed in public anyway. The 8 players are on a total 9mil+ (according to a chap on the radio) who agreed that for players in the Championship in some cases after the first Administration? I always recall saying how the hell could you afford Kitson and Lawrence, well you couldnt.

I can't see Pompey being liquidated. Chanrai will not want to lose his investment and I can't see the three "problem" players sticking out for so long that they run the risk of not having a club to pay them anything. Birch was talking a lot of sense on the radio this morning yet Pompey have always fought hard and survived in the past and will do so again this time. I've no doubt that common sense will prevail in the end and the club will still have a team to support in 2012/13.
I has always seemed strange that Kanu was not off-loaded last season or even before that. He didn't seem to feature at all in the last campaign and it seemed pointless to have still had him on the books, albeit I appreciate that we would have to be looking to further his career in the Far East.

Chanrai has already lost most of his investment. The conditions on our admission of entering the football league included Chanrai essentially not being allowed to pass his total debt onto the new club. Basically he's in a take what your given and like it position. This has given hope that he'll pull out leaving the path clear for the PST.
On the subject of Kanu, that is just purely frustrating. 2010/11 season he reached a clause which entitled him to a year extension on his existing contract of 30k a week(FFS). This was re-negotiated to 10k a week(FFS) over 3 years. And that's why he's still here for another year.
Ben Haim, Kanu & Kitson are either greedy or just plain stupid. If they continue to demand what they are (rightfully) due, then the club cannot afford to pay them, which as we all know, will lead to certain liquidation of PFC, at which point they will NOT receive a brass razzoo from the club.
Any respect I had for these 3 players has totally and utterly disappeared. I wish they all would, but that is asking too much.

Surely it would be for the best to just put the club out of its misery and start again? Like it or not, the club is rotten to the core and has been for a number of years. Saving it on this occasion will only delay the inevitable for another few months. I have never seen such a poorly managed club. You spend the best part of a decade in the Premier League, win a major trophy, have a little run in Europe and have absolutely nothing to show for it in terms of infrastructure, aside from the mountain of debt against you.
Feel sorry for the fans and employees of the club, I really do. I'm a Newcastle fan with a strong allegiance to Southampton due to family ties but sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. It would be better for you in the long run to "do a Rangers".

Trust me I've been to Portsmouth too... nothing to be proud of! Apart from Lee-On-Solent... that area is quite nice.
Start a twitter and facebook campaign against Ben-Haim and Kanu, you can understand that they want their money but I'm sure the compromise is more than fair and do they not care that they're destroying a club and its legacy..
Pompey will survive. The remaining player's contracts will be resolved. I think once Chanrai realises his involvement will not take the club forward, someone will pick up PFC cheaply and the squad will be re-built. i doubt if there is a club in the lower two leagues with the potential of Portsmouth and if the club can be acquired for a good price it will be an attractive proposition for a patient owner who would like to see his investment reflected in future promotions. You will struggle to go up this coming season but I think your troubles will be behind you by the next one when you should be looking for an automatic promotion spot. I don't think all is lost .
As things stand I'd change that to stay up; unless there's a lot of behind the scenes activity going on that we're being kept in the dark about

We at QPR have had a rough ride over the last few years, but we have come back stronger. I sincerely hope that you do too.

I thought that the PL just pay the parachute payments directly to the football creditors. Didn't that happen the first time Portsmouth went into Administration?
The parachute payments are to help a club which has been relegated, they aren't ring-fenced and can be used for whatever purpose the directors decide. Last time we went into admin there was an agreement (apparently) with a former owner, Gaydamak, who was also a creditor to pay part of the payments to him. The PL don't make payments for a club though.
