If I remember correctly, then Liverpool are only allowed to bid if either someone else does or a bid for the player's accepted. Can't quite recall which one.
read this thread as its quite interesting http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/158011-Brenden-rodgers-does-he-talk-too-much
"Andy Carroll has told Liverpool they will not force him to leave Anfield." (Source: Daily Star) Not such a dream move now, is it, eh, donkey?
Finish fourth and still not one of the Prems 'Big 5' http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-target-joe-allen-has-contract-1163441
I was only on the wind up, (seems to have worked...lol) Personally if it meant getting him for 5 million cheaper id rather not be in that 'Big 5' Still looking forward to saturday and hoping we trounce you..Wont be putting any money on it though as I still dont know what to expect from us in the early part of the season. Are all your big guns back and training? I dont think any of our big names, (England, Spain and Uruguay internationals) will play saturday. If you have all your first teamers we will be in for a very hard night
Playing you will be like playing Swansea. And that's exactly how everyone else will look at it. Even less frightening than before. And it wasn't at all frightening before.
It's a friendly, so I won't be that bothered about the result, to be honest. The only players that we have missing are Sandro, Dos Santos, Caulker and Rose at the Olympics, Parker through injury, Modric and Pienaar because they're probably leaving and Adebayor, as he hasn't bloody signed. That's quite a few players actually, looking at the list. It'll be interesting to see how we line up, anyway. Should get an idea in about 2 hours, if anyone bothers to watch it.
We will see......I dont know what will happen yet on the pitch, but glad to see some good packages and marketing being done off the pitch. I know you will not agree as your rivals are Barca and Man Utd obviously, but I see Tottenham as big rivals this season due to our similar situations, new managers, new style etc etc. It will be interesting to see who improves more this year.......Im not in a position to say who will as I know alot more about Pool than about you lot. I do think that there is a good chance we will be battling for 5th/6th. Cant see Everton and Newcastle having two good seasons.
Kyle "heavily injured, couldn't make the Olympics" Walker... If he's not fit (he is), then Kyle Naughton, probably.
No worries, just interested as two of my fav young players are likely to get a half each on the left side of attack, was just wondering what they will be up against....Have you had any friendlies yet? Walker would be a great test of our left sided players as he is a very good young talent
We beat the mighty Stevenage 2-0 at their place last week, but that's it so far. Walker played a little over an hour and then was replaced by Adam Smith, an England U21 player. I assume Sterling's one of the two players, but who's the other one?
