"Tigers fans face an anxious wait until they know whether the talented youngster will be part of their pack next season..."

Fraizer Campbell's father has been keen to stress that his son is solely focused on helping the England Under-21s conquer Europe and that he is still officially a Manchester United player.

    and this.......

Fraizer Campbell looks poised to sign for Hull City when he returns from a delayed summer holiday and despite serious interest from Sunderland. Steve Bruce, the Wearside club's new manager, was close to recruiting the striker on a season-long loan with Wigan last summer but Campbell instead joined Tottenham, and Bruce now accepts he is once again likely to be thwarted.

Hull, where Campbell, now on vacation following England Under-21 duty in Sweden, previously thrived during a loan stint, have agreed a £6m fee with Manchester United and are confident he will be re-joining them.

Moreover the forward's father, who acts as his agent, confirmed that the KC Stadium is his son's preferred destination.

    then there was this......

Keith Campbell, who represents his son, insists he has only held talks with the Tigers and claimed part of the delay is down to the Red Devils.

"I've spoken to two people. I've spoken to Paul Duffen and I've spoken to Phil Brown, and they're the only two people I've spoken to," Campbell snr told the Hull Daily Mail.

Asked if his son remained keen to join the Tigers in a club record deal, he added: "Definitely.

"It's just purely and simply down to Manchester United, when they sort themselves out then it's fine."

Although Hull are eager for the transfer to be finalised, Campbell will spend some time on holiday before committing his future, having only just returned from Sweden.

His father said: "There are no deadlines at all.

"Fraizer has played a lot of football and we are going to go off and enjoy the holiday, have a discussion while we're away and see where it takes us."

    and this...

The 21-year-old, who has also drawn attention from Sunderland and Newcastle, is currently on a family holiday until July 16.

But with City returning from Italy the day before, Brown is not fazed to see the move rumble on.

"I had the chance to meet his Dad again before he went away and we're still optimistic," Brown told the Mail.

"Fraizer deserves his holiday after a long season but we'll meet up when he returns on July 16.

"Hopefully that will be a positive day in negotiations with Fraizer and his father but we're prepared to wait.

"We're happy to be patient. There's a lot of work going on in the background and while the headlines might not be as exciting, we're making sure everything will be in place."

Then Campbell flies how early from holiday , has a medical at Sunderland and signs for them for £3.5m

Campbell said: “It was an easy decision to make because they are a club with a lot of ambition and are moving forward. They are looking to bring good players in to add to the quality already here.”

Sometimes you really feel down, like when someone strings you along with a pack of lies.

Then something comes around that REALLY cheers you up again!!!

No reason why his father would have been put off by them at that point, maybe later on when Brownies reputation took a bit of a hit.

His dad was his agent wasn't he? maybe Duffen didn't make it clear that when he said he wanted a £100k backhander he just meant to add it onto the agent fees so he thought PD was taking the piss.

I have no problem with Campbell going for the better deal, I'd have done the same. Where the issue is for me is in the little rat and his dad being two faced (and I don't mean one face each) about the move with all the "only want to join Hull" bollocks. If he'd said "I'm happy to join Hull but I want to see if a better offer comes in before I sign" I'd have been fine with him.

    PRECISELY.

That was why I made emphasis of the quotes his father made saying we were his prefered destination.

I don't mind any player going to a bigger, stronger club. Who would deny a person the chance to secure their futures and achieve greater success.

It's the way that it is done. Look at the way Michael Turner went. Unsatisfactory as it was for us, the player kept quiet and showed dignity and respect once he moved.

Campbell and his manipulative father did not.

Well done Fraizer, lad, hope you enjoy your 2 years watching football.

Purely for his reaction when they scored against us at the SoL, he deserves to lose the use of both knees. :emoticon-0116-evilg

thats my reason for disliking him too..
compare that to turner again, who went to celebrate, reliased who it was, then raised his hands apolegitically...

My dislike for him was not because of not signing for us i never have a go at anyone for choosing the best club that offered him the most money as its a short career and he needs to make money.

However my hate for him is for his celebration, the difference between him and Turner is between someone who has a bit of class and some who just doesn't give two monkeys. Turner would always do the same as he is a top bloke, Campbell only cares about himself.
