    He won't be coming in as backup though, he'll be coming in to push Kelvin for the No1 - slightly different to backup even if he isn't starting

    Fair point PTF. Maybe he was a bad example but I still think we need a third keeper. After KD and Gazza we are into the academy.

    It will be good experience for Gazzaniga if he is the back up. Getting a feel of the atmospheres, players, pressure of premier league etc, I think it would be good development for him to be in and around the squad. Touch wood it doesn't happen, but if we get an injury to Davis, Gazzaniga could step in and we can always get emergency loan.

    Gazzaniga won't have come here to be third choice. Otherwise he may as well have stayed at Gillingham. He's here very much to challenge Kelvin. No one decent will be prepared to never play. Chris Johns or an emergency loan is the most likely solutio if there was a crisis. A 3rd choice woud proobably be some leech like Forecast who is a crap keeper but prepared to do very little for a few grand per week.

    Saints have made an official bid for a player (he's confirmed this player is not Lens).

    You can catch it late tonight or in tomorrow's Daily Mirror - or here as soon as it gets posted I will imagine!

    The last 2! Rodriguez and Clyne. He also reported our interest in Davis but knew nothing about how it progressed until about 20 mins before he signed.

    Read it back in order. Late last night he said there was "something stirring" with regards to Saints.

    This morning he said that an "official bid" was made. Wouldn't get it into Sunday People and wasn't sure what the story was so didn't want to write about it just then.
