I can see why we would be in for Walcott and I can see the benefits of having him here.

It'll give us a variety of options. Atm we lack pace in attack.

    -Suarez-----------Dempsey-
    ------------Borini--------------

    -Walcott----------Suarez-
    ------------Borini-----------

    -Walcott----------Suarez-
    ------------Carroll----------

    -Walcott----------Dempsey-
    -----------Borini---------------

    ----------Gerrard-------------
    --Suarez----------Walcott--
(Gerrard fulse 9 - Walcott could really be useful here with his pace and ability to run ahead like a striker)

Walcott could also be the striker if want pace up front...

I see the use, he comes from Arsenal so will already be 100% omfortable with the style, has pace and can score and create when "on". I am talking more of the price, once again we are going British and for an international so bare minimum we would have to part with at least 15. I just see players like a Cazorla go for that, Marin go for 7 mil, Jordi Alba go for 11, just think we can still find better gems out there.

Di Matteo has a worse win % than AVB in the league...just thought I'd put it out there. They can't and won't play like they did in the CL throughout the whole season. My concern is with all the talent they now have...and there are worse managers than RDM.

Have also bid for Willian, Moses and are looking at Hulk. Add to that the wages Hazard will probably be on (I'd imagine around 100k p/w.)
    What was that about FFP?

Obviously it sounds bitter, but I don't like the way they've dealt with slipping down in the table last season. Rather than thinking 'right, we need a change of philosophy, move some of the old guys out, work on a different system' or anything along those lines, it's just 'let's throw more money at it'.

I prefer the way Dortmund went about rebuilding themselves. They developed their youth set up and are reaping the rewards. Now they're at the stage where they can add one or two quality signings (Reus this summer) and sustain it. That said, Reus will likely slot in for Kagawa.

For me they have gone the old Madrid route, buying up loads of Offensive talent, yet look at that backline, what happens if someone is injured? Who do they have for cover?

It is hair-raising though when you think of TOrres, Mata, Hazard, Marin, Oscar, Lamps can create. De Bruyne was really hit and miss, very little end product to his game, just pacy and with a trick at the moment.

I can;t get over how Marin was ****ing only 7 mil!!!

Any word on if we are going to look at Affelay?

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce that Gazprom has become the club's official Global Energy Partner.

The three-year sponsorship deal will see Gazprom Energy, supply gas and electricity to the club and be involved with our award-winning global CSR activities.

Chelsea FC chief executive Ron Gourlay said: 'This is another very exciting global partnership for the club, and demonstrates the ever-growing appeal of Chelsea FC.

'As a global supplier of energy with a commitment to the environment and social responsibility, Gazprom is a perfect match for the club.

'Our huge fanbase around the world will help Gazprom reach their key markets in Europe and Asia, while we will benefit from their support in developing further our wide-ranging CSR programmes.'

Vitaly Vasiliev, chief executive officer of GM&T, said: 'The Gazprom group is delighted to be associated with such a well known and successful brand in international football.

'Gazprom supplies secure and clean natural gas to clients all over the world and this energy partnership with the European champions gives us an outstanding global platform to further raise our profile across our European and global markets. We very much look forward to working together over the coming three seasons.'

The announcement follows on from recent sponsorship news that Audi, Sauber F1 and Delta Air Lines have all become partners of Chelsea FC. Gazprom last week also confirmed an agreement with UEFA to become an official partner of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup for the next three seasons.

AVB is Chelsea's Hodgson. He had different ideas but no one agreed. He wanted to bring in his own men.

Di Matteo is there Dalglish. Got them reved up in the cups but no better in the league despite the boost every new manager gets mid season.

Thanks for the copy and paste job. Doesn't actually change the fact you've just thrown money at it, though.

Can I have some figures on that?
This isn't me trying to prove you wrong, btw. I'd just like to see what kind of sponsorship you're bringing in.

: AS are reporting that Tottenham have identifield Malaga midfielder Santi Cazorla as a possible replacement for Luka Modric, with the Spanish club needing to sell.
