I read with some amusement this morning that SB is about to make his 4th signing in 2 and a bit weeks of the window?

Any bets on how many he will have in before August is out?

I'm going for 8 or 9? Old habits as they say.

I honestly believe that If Bent hadn't done the dirty, Bruce would have taken us to at least as high as what Peter Reid did...We have not yet recovered from the loss of Bent, and if MON can do this, then we will be well on our way to a decent season..

I agree with this comment. Bent leaving and then Gyan total knocked the wind out of our sails.

Same Bruce we where all cheering for his signings a year ago, how soon we forget

I was questioning his transfer policy of 7 or 8 per window more than the quality.

Bruce will never build long term success anywhere by rebuilding his team every 6 months.

Don't get all defensive about your lad again Syd?:D

not my lad Cest, just being honest again and I can only repeat, a year ago we all said well done, or did you not. Fair play is all I ask because iy can make us all look a little foolish without it.

Are you purposely ignoring the question Syd or just not seeing my point?

I was as excited as the next man EVERY transfer window because he did bring in some good players. My point is he also destroyed that EVERY transfer window by losing the very same players he brought in. He cant manage a bunch of good players in a top league? Thats quite evident as we struggled for well over a full callendar year under his guidance, in the back end of the 2010/11 and the beginning of the 2011/12 season.

Cana, Bent, Gyan, Mensah etc. Bruce is like a little lad in a sweetie shop and grabs everything he can see each time he visits but invariably drops what he has already collected just as easily. As a transfer policy it was disastrous for us and he doesn’t seem to have learned much.

Also, in answer to the barcode boil on our red and white arsehole Chiek, I have never said I expect 7 or 8 new faces in his 1st proper window. In fact I post a thread (which you MUST have read and MUST have commented on surely) stating that I thought exactly the opposite. I envisaged no more than 4 or 5 at the most coming in. At least 1 preferably 2 strikers, left back, central midfielder and a centre half.

We have our centre half in now already.

I do think there will be 5 or 6 outgoings as MoN already said the squad was too big and not enough in quality and needed trimming.

Didnt realise there was a question TBH but my point is why post a thread about Bruce and Hull? The only motive is to hav a dig at Bruce, a manager long gone and IMO an unfair dig.

Yes we did lose Cana, not a big loss IMO and the reason given was to be closer to home.
We did lose Bent and I along with you have no idea why, we can only guess but the manner of his leaving, to me, means I blame Bent not Bruce.
Gyan left for cash, nothing less, again my opinion.

Why this window and our recruiting is mantioned I have no idea, the thread is all about Bruce and Hull.

No one knows, maybe he will do a good job at Hull and bring them up, and all the Hull fans will be happy with his transfer dealings, or maybe not and it will go tits up...

Either way. i won't lose any sleep over it...

Sorry mate, but I didnt. the squad under reidy had much more talent, and worked as a team, gelled better.
