To be honest, this is turning into a bit of a circus. Apparently he has voiced his intention to sign for us. Apparently the original offer was 4.4 million euro from Monaco but we're geting him for araound 2 million sterling. Cardiff city have stated they won't discuss signings until they're done and dusted, but this is all over the wires! VT marketiing machine in operation? Smokes and mirrors time, something doesn't add up.

not due to the club taff, its the fault of the players representatives for disclosing that he was in talks with both us and celtic.

i read somewhere that he had demands of £1.2m / year but he will sign for 18k / week (£900k / year).

experience is needed up front as if we sign kim we will have 3 championship novices (4 if you count mason)...

I don't consider Mason a champioship novice anymore.

WOL (I know) are reporting this a done deal. I'll believe it when the club/BBC announce it.

I agree that the public nature of this is solely down to Kim's agent. He has discussed this in great detail very publicly. If he does that there isn't a great deal our club can do about it. It has/is taking a while but often transfers do. The Mariappa deal took a good 3-4 days and that would seem on face value about as simple as moves get. He wont have even had to move house!

For all that I wouldn't be that suprised to see this deal hit a 'last minute' hitch.

I think the last minute hitch was Kim saying 'this won't be the only club in Europe I play for' ... i.e. " I don't really want to go to Cardiff, somebody else make me a better offer" (which is probably what has happened).

That's right SKM, the club (as far as I have seen) have not mentioned the transfer of Kim at all, I may be wrong but I haven't read anything from the club regarding Kim.
I would have at least have seen "the club does not comment on player transfers" or "No comment". All paper talk I guess but it just seems strange.

I have a nasty sneaking feeling of doom about Kim not signing and the press having egg all over their faces.

If he was to be signed I am sure it would have been all done by now.

Talk is he's signed but they are waiting for his work permit before they call it.

Only talk mind.

Interesting quote:

"The next step is to play well for the team but Cardiff will not be my first and only club in Europe." :emoticon-0112-wonde

Seems to have a high opinion of himself. Either that or something is lost in translation.

If someone can find the original article or recording, I'll translate it properly. :)

he has agreed terms...now it will have to wait till after the olympics...they will not announce until its a done deal

john

Might even sign before the Olympics if its international clearance we are waiting for.

As jck says, I suspect its all done and dusted, just waiting to dot the i's and cross the t's.

Bellers will be post Olympics.
