Can everyone just please calm down! No one is trolling or needs to be upset. Right, I was thinking earlier - what about hijacking Boros signing of Jonny Woodgate. Class defender! We could use some experience at the back, an old english head now Drury has gone. Perhaps look at Sol Campbell, Roger Johnson, etc if we cant get woodgate.

still dont know why we got rid of Whitbread who is our best defender probs... What do you reckon
 
Who does Alf Common and Norbert Stiles play for? Not sure I've heard of them?? Fair enough if theyre good but if its just because they re cheap thats not the way to go in my opinion. Need genuine class players that can cope with a prem season and if that means spending a little but more to keep us up and get money for next year - so be it.

Alf Common played in 1905 - just a year or two before Sol Campbell!

Oh, well I've never heard of him, so missed the joke. I wasnt born for nearly 90 yrs after that. Was he good? Campbell has prem experience and if could get in reasonable shape would be an asset in the changing room in my opinion. Even if he couldnt play evevery week - a decent squad member..
 
To be fair, Dave, that's not Common knowledge. Unless you know it, then it is! <laugh>

So youre saying that old players are never any good. Dion was older than Campbell! For example do you think Beckham would be great for us, even if he couldnt play every week? Of course, he would. Hes class and would pretty much guarantee us safety

tbh - I don't know if you're wumming or just totally lacking any intelligence, you post the most ridiculous statements!
 
Ok, well Campbell was only a suggestion - someone of his ilk I meant. Woodgate or Huth would be a better example perhaps. Also, heard Bellamy was available. He would be an incredible signing! Likes us and better than any of our other players, would improve us. Get it sorted Hughton!
