Has anything been settled with Barmby since the dismissal? Think it was end of May. What course of action is open to him and is he going to tell his side of the story? Anyone any info?
the allams are spending money , complete opposite to what barmby said they would do ... make from that what you will (by the way barmby took a cool mill or so as a pay off to not say a word, says all you need to know about barmbys "intentions" )
Nick hasn't been paid off at all, his side of the story is yet to be told. Things are still ongoing. Anyone who thinks that Nick doesn't love Hull City, knows nothing at all.
we shall see my old friend , we shall see .. Ill remind you in a year of this when barmby is at man utd youth coaching setup and still nothing "turns up"
seems i was right all along on the Barmby thaaang . though i am still prepared to wait for the facts as its no biggie to me to prove either way - i just want to know all the story But as things stand Barmby has every chance and opportunity to tell his side , there is NOTHING stopping this other than looking silly and losing a payout. The Allams may well be about to show their intent and ambition that Barmby didn't as he put locker room loyalty ahead of ruthless management (again something ive no problem with )
I understand he has had a job offer, but hasn't taken it. In a matter of months he will be in a position to put his side of the story, if he doesn't, then by all means feel free to go na-na-na-na-na.
I think after recent events it's clear for all to see the truth.... Barmby is the biggest bullshitter out there!
I find it deeply disappointing that a player who came to his hometown club, in the bottom division, when he could have stayed in the Premiership. A player who hung up his boots when he didn't want to, because he thought it was in the best interest of his club, then gets slated for doing so. I appreciate that some people think he is full of ****, threw his toys out of the pram and disrespected the Allam's, but I don't. He might not be perfect, but he's certainly no villain, he's as big a City fan as any poster on this board.
If you're replying to me I think you have the wrong end of the stick, he said we needed two or three additions to be challenging for the auto spots, I think we need at least 4 at the very minimum!
Find me where NB said the Allams wouldn't spend money? All he did was suggest they hadn't spent it in the past, which we didn't. TWF aside, I still find it unbelievable that so many City fans have turned against him.
ive never turned against Barmby , i have consistently said i understood and even supported what i thought was his managerial methods I said before xmas that he would suffer the dilema of dropping players he was only recently playing alongside (instead he chose not to act in january). I would have given him the summer transfer window as i felt this would be his first real dabble at management - a new season and new standing in the dressing room. I took issue not with Barmby , but only with those that chose to not wait for the facts of his dismissal , slagging off Allams and wrongly calling Barmby "gagged". We really must accept his silence - whether its a dignified silence where he was right or one paid for by the club to bury needless tittle tattle.
Barmby doesnt have alot to gain now but he is trying to make sure his reputation remains in tact. Its shame managers are so dispensable nowadays.
My friend who worked at the KC until he unfortunately got the sack told me that Barmby had 4 players lined up in January with Allams not taking them up at the last minute
Have they? £250,000 on a loan goalkeeper is all they have spent up to now. The deal on the German striker has yet to go through, when it does I might agree with you.
Nick took the managers job knowing it would end his playing career early as he'd lose training time and fitness. If he has received a payment, I'd say it was fair reward and also seems to point to him having at least the basis of a case. You certainly can't read anything of his "intentions" into such a rumour one way or another.
I respect Barmby, he arguably gave us some of his best footballing years when we were ****! Helped us climb up through the divisions and put Hull firmly on the footballing map? I am really disappointed with how it all ended for Nick, it is a real shame that his playing & managerial career ended in such a poor fashion. I don't think anyone has come out of this sequence of events in great shape, but it's just another chapter in the history of Hull City, tainted or not.
You may be right i dont know your sources but i have a problem with seeing the Allams forking out a million quid to someone they have sacked and according to them they have followed procedure.
It's just another chapter at HCAFC, many reputations tarnished when not their fault, ie; Barmby, Deano, Brownie, maybe even Ashbee?
