Golden Lilac has the best form in the book for me in what looks a weak race. I can never get too excited about these mares only races if I'm honest. I'm tempted to side with the Godolphin runner at a big price, looks to be an improving type and Al Zarooni is flying at the minute. Irish History e/w at 25-1 in the Falmouth!
that will mean more rule 4 deductions today then. It's being penalised for taking an early price. *****ing robery.
LEO LUNA looks a very interesting prospect in the Maiden Stakes. Not run yet but breeding looks top notch! Out of Galileo Stud which has produced some top horses (Frankel, Celestial Halo etc) and Dam Eva Luna which has produced Sea Moon! Would have to be quite an impressive run on first outing but you have to think it is one to watch!
Yep and a shorter price wasn't overly worried about that one and was hoping its form would see it backed in heavily
Maybe is interesting. The two runs this year are not bad efforts and the 2year old form is without doubt top top notch. However, two things put me off having a bet. The first is Ladbrokes go top price. The second is Joseph doesn't make the journey over to ride in a group one.
He can't do 8 stone 10 Quel I think they would rather have Moore than Joseph putting up at least 4lbs overweight
Quel I doubt Joseph can do the weight because he's over for the maiden the race after . And to continue in that maiden there is one that just catches my eye. I won't be playing, this isn't the sort of heat to be playing without some information imho, but I will be following 25-1 shot Day in Day out. Ralph Beckett's yard is flying at the minute and the sire, Notnowcato, loved a bit of cut in the ground. It's pure speculation and the jockey booking doesn't fill me with confidence and, as I said, I won't be playing but we'll see how this colt goes.
Cheers lads. That explains it. I thought he might have been banned but saw he rides the maiden. Didn't think about weight. Just one worry then - Ladbrokes know everything about Ballydoyle and they're happy to lay her. Doesn't bode well. I don't know why but i've backed Margot Did.
13:20 Newmarket - Tartiflette (Fully agree with Jeff and GGW on this. Consistent, and ticks in all the right boxes).
Why is there a bigger gap between the penultimate race and the last one...? Its 30 or 35 mins between the first 5 races then a 70 minute gap for the last race...? Any reason...? Or am i missing something...?
I'm on each way. Think she'll return to form. Don't know about the scheduling. Charity race in between?
Troopingthecolour runs today. I've been told by connections this is a well handicapped horse (I don't agree but what do I know) but I've not been told whether it's expected to win today or not. I'll have a small bet because the 10/3 seems fair with Willie's 7lbs being whipped off.
Lads have a look at defence for duress in the first @ Cork, well backed last time out (including by me!) and was travelling well until a fall at the last. Short enough again today (I just got 5/4) but a repeat of that and the slight step up in trip should see a good run Also have a fun E/W patent @Newmarket 120 ILLAUNGLSS 150 VAN ELLIS 300 GIOFRA Good Luck all

The amateur jockey S Walker said there was a £50K arab race today! Guess thats opening! Why not betting on Arabs?
I am happy to oppose Golden Lilac today. A mares/fillies race on soft ground is always primed for an upset so its SIYOUMA @ 33/1 and a saver on Maybe for me.
