i think after last nights result and the games we have left we have a great chance of taking 6th place. Hull City Last 5 Hull City Vs Doncaster - Win Hull City Vs Middlesbrough - Win QPR Vs Hull City - Draw Hull City Vs Crystal Palace - Win Bristol City Vs Hull City - Win Hull City = 13 points Leeds Last 5 Leeds Vs Watford - Draw Leeds Vs Reading - Draw Crystal Palace Vs Leeds - Win Leeds Vs Burnley - Draw QPR Vs Leeds - Lose Leeds = 6 points Leicester last 5 Reading Vs Leicester - Lose Forest Vs Leicester - win Leicester Vs Watford - Draw Doncaster Vs Leicester - Win Leicester Vs Ipswich - Win Leicester = 10 points Forest last 5 Norwich Vs Forest - Lose Forest Vs Leicester - lose Bristol City Vs Forest - Draw Forest Vs Scunthorpe - win Palace Vs Forest - Win Forest = 7 points Millwall Last 5 Coventry Vs Millwall - Draw Millwall Vs Preston - Win Scunthorpe Vs Millwall - Win Millwall Vs Swansea - Lose Barnsley Vs Milwall - Win Millwall = 10 points So, overall the table would finish like this QPR Norwich Cardiff Swansea Reading Hull I know our home form is poor but i really think pearson will go for it now and we should beat Doncaster, Middlesbrough and Palace at home COME ON CITY!!!!!
think your being a bit harsh on other teams, they just as much want to make the playoff's and will be giving it everything. leeds are very strong at home and have hardly lost there all season. it's going to be tight and we'll have to win most, if not all of our games to make it.
I hope your predictions are right but to be honest with you it is going to be tough. If it was down to our own results we possibly could do it but it isn't. I am not at all sure I agree with your rundown of Leeds. I think that of the three home matches you have down as draws Leeds could win two of them, Watford and Burnley have lost their way recently and I think we could get beat at QPR. Plus like you said our home form poor.
We just need to go for it more at home and see what happens, we can only worry about our own results, what will be, will be.
I'd rather we stayed put and stormed it next year, or we are just going to go through the mire again next term.
sounds nice, as I said to my friend last week or could have been Monday, 4 wins out of 6 and results going our way and we could grab a play off spot
I can see us finishing well ad possibly get the 13 points but I don't think TWS will lose enough for us to pass them although our run in looks easier than theirs. 5 points is a lot to make up on a good side in 5 games. (that was painful to say) Best we can do is get behind the team as much as possible without the grunts, groans and moans when a player cocks up (They may get paid a lot but they are still human (well almost). I think we will make 7th but we could get an auto next season because we do have a great, young side.
I would have agreed with that not long ago, but the fact that they've dropped six points in their last two games gives some encouragement.
I think your home predictions are slightly optimistic. Boro are on form at the moment, and while they're not as good as us defensively, they score a lot of goals and will cause us problems. Likewise Palace could be a tough game aswell. I'll be happy with a high finish, if we can get 8th place then that will be a very successful season IMO, and we can push on next season for an automatic spot.
I know, but he only came back recently anyway i think, and they've had major defensive problems with injuries all season, with key players missing. So i can't see that stopping them.
i hate to say it but i think leeds will probably win at least 2 if not 3 of their last 5 games, nice to see a bit of optimism though
I've been largely negative on our chances for most of the season, but whilst I was looking at the table mid-game last night I thought "Bloody hell, if we win this game we'll only be two points off", so I guess you can never say never. I still think it's unlikely due to the amount of teams above us and our home form. No time like the present, we needed to have a strong season this season to avoid ending up like Coventry or Derby and just disappearing into mid-table obscurity after a short spell in the top flight, we may not (and probably won't) go up this season, but it's imperative we do next season in order to keep at least some of the momentum our first spell in the PL brought us. This is probably most likely.
