    That's fair enough, I can't pretend I'm getting a stiffy over the Buttner signing and I'm hoping for bigger ones, but I firmly believe they will come so I'm not getting slightly concerned yet.

    A factor that seems to be ignored with the whole squad depth issue is that we don't want names for names sake coming in and shunting out players like Schneiderlin or Cork. They have earned their opportunity and I trust Adkins that anyone bought in will be done so solely with the view of improve our chances of staying up (be it as much needed back up in certain positions or a quality first team addition). This is where I feel QPR went wrong last year and West Ham will go wrong this - too many also rans.

    I really can't see why people are trying to judge a left back (which hasn't yet signed) of which we know very little other than the fact that he is versatile, he is close to being a dutch international,has a one in ten goals to game ratio in a competitive league (not bad at all for a lb) and was wanted by a host of clubs across Europe.

    Let's just have a bit of trust and patience and see what happens. We all know where we need to strengthen and nobody more so that NA and NC.

    So Buttner is slated for playing in a second-rate team, but Dann gets bonus points for looking good on a second-rate team. Familiarity makes Dann seem a safer option, but I'm not sure that makes him the better player.

    Rumours I'm hearing is that Saints are in dicussions with Davis. But not the only club doing so. Interesting. Looks like Cortese needs to get the magic video out ;) <laugh>
