Wow, we've had some cretins crawl out of the woodwork to post specifically on this thread... Plus quite a few 'new' users, I mean there's no way they are all just wumming, right? So predictable...
Would you like to explain why I would be banned for posting this thread and my subsequent comments? Surely this is worthy of debate, and it seems okay for United fans to criticise and comment on this subject, so why should it be different for others? Unless of course you do not like criticism and feel that it is necessary to issue veiled threats to anyone who dares have a negative comment about United! Oh, I think that the 'new users' may well be posters from JA606 who feel the need to tell me that I am obsessed, even though the actual topic under discussion is being talked about everywhere...the names Elvis and Diva seem familiar to me! Hi guys! <Billy waves>
Billybob It is worthy of discussion but also nothing to get overly worried about. If however they dont get the money they hope to get from the IPO then yes, we might have a problem. Thats unlikely though.
At last, a comment about the actual issue...nice swan! I think you may be correct, the initial level of the float is apparently a tester to see if there is interest. If there is then the money will be raised, if not then it leaves United with one less option and I am not sure there are many more!
Personally this s all part of there exit stratagy set for 2017. They will sell off B shares without a care in the world, should they get $100million or $1billion they in effect have made money appear from nowhere as the B shares are essentially....nothing. I think we are looking for investors who want to raise their profile rather than their bank balance with this. While they are almost certainly going to make money off their investment it wont be huge sums and it won't give them any say in anything to do with United. They will raise as much as they can, repay the debt and be left with a club worth an insane amount of money to sell on, even if the reduce the price somewhat, they walk away happy.
Even if City finish ahead of United? What an odd way of showing your support for your club, you don't mind winning zero trophies just as long as you finish above Liverpool and Chelsea...that's small-time imo, but hey, every one has different priorities, your's just happens to be idiotic!!
Bloody hell, took diva six posts to construct a sentence... And you thought you had problems with Matth
