Where should they start and why?

To be honest, I'm sick of the whole thing, whatever happens is fine by me. I don't see there being much difference to Rangers whether we play in division 3 or in the SPL with more points deduction(where we will need to pay at least half decent wages to players). I don't think anyone really knows if clubs will go bust without Rangers being in the SPL, but I don't believe the league will be better without us, it might be more competitive, but the standard certainly won't rise.

What I meant by asking the question was that I don't think there is too much of a lobby to support a div1 or SPL start outwith the media and footballing authorities.

Under normal circumstances the media would follow the zeitgeist but in the interests of self protection they are trying to set the agenda and that does not appear to be reflected even amongst the supporters of Rangers (whom I assume with transition to the new club)

I know, I only said it to be difficult. Tough decisions should have been taken long before now, or at least something should have been in place, so everybody knew what was going to happen. The thing that makes it more difficult though is quite simply, money. If it was say St. Johnstone or some other smaller club, the decision would have been made in 2 minutes, but with all walks of life, if something happens to a big hitter, things/rules sometimes change. I know this isn't particularly relevant, but didn't the Argentinian FA not change the rules twice because River Plate were going to be relegated(or it might have been Boca Juniors)? Rightly or wrongly, this is just the world we live in.

Well the day of reckoning for the new co is finally upon us. The press have been speculating on how the clubs will vote.....it will be interesting to see how things actually go today. Going by the press speculation and the media coverage the newco will not get the required number of votes to be accepted in the SPL. A lot of supporters (newco included) are fed up with the situation.

The bad news is that it will rumble on for a while yet with even more scare mongering and speculation about which league the newco should play in. Don't you just love it!
