Well! **** me with the blunt end of a rag-man's trumpet! That's some quirk you've got there, Tickler....

Aye, here's another quirk for you - Heskey made his debut for Leicester City - who we happen to play on boxing day! It's just fate that this transfer is going to happen!!!!

Indeed it is sir. :emoticon-0116-evilg

So we can expect some boxing from Heskey on that day can we then ? ? <whistle>

I think he'll sign for a North West club. I remember saying he'd just bought a house in Widnes or Warrington and he was sick of moving around. He'd lived in four Cities in four years.

Blackpool would be about perfect for AG if he wishes to stay at home now. imo

The Mail reckon we're interested in Ben Amos at United

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...t-Manchester-United-keeper-Ben-Amos-loan.html

It also mentions whats happened to Jackupovic

Not another keeper we are linked with ? ;) Maybe another smoke and mirrors situation that Steve Bruce as so good at. <whistle>

He was rated that Jakupovic too. Hope if he ends up going to another Championship club, that it doesn't come and bite us on the arse <doh>

I would guess that Gary Walsh may have had something to do with this one. (ie. telling Bruce we can do better) ;)

Amos is highly rated though, would love either him or Mannone here

How about both with Amos(on loan) as back up to Mannone ? :1980_boogie_down: SSN said this morning that we are talking with Arsenal now about Vito. Now this does not surprise me at all.

You already knew you bastard about Mannone didn't you?

I apologise, you never answered the question though!

No worries ive been called worse. ;) Lol. :emoticon-0116-evilg

Well i did answer it in a manner of speaking but what i will say is that from Vito's last tweets it was down to both clubs. Bruce plays a canny game and the fact that we are linked with almost every GK thats available it adds to the pressure Wenger is under to get rid of Vito Mannone.

TalkSport last night had ex. Arsenal old boy Stuart Robson on and he said that Wenger has 8 players he wants off the books that are costing the Gunners over £500,000 a week in wages. <yikes> I expect us to get Vito cheaper than many think actually. TWT as always though.

For the first time in a long while we have a manager who is a very good negotiator and hopefully he can help us to get players out and not just in. Any idea what sort of fee we will need to pay for Vito?

Indeed Bruce is. Just look at the great business he and Quinn did when Dufferman under sold Turner from City ? We were robbed big time and Bruce admitted as much.
No idea on the fee but i would suggest something around £500,000 with maybe add ons may just be enough. The big plus for us is that Vito wants to come and play for Hull City.
